TB-500/BPC For Lymphedema/PTS?

Hi all,
I have been doing some research around the area of peptides and I have come across BPC and TB-500 and its angiogenesis properties.
I got a DVT (clot) in my leg due to a long flight about 10 years ago, and ever since I constantly have swelling in the leg (Lymphedema), which I am told is due to damaging the valve in the blood vessel. I use a compression sock on and off to reduce the swelling, but I'd obviously like a more permanent fix, if possible.

Of course, theoretically BPC and TB-500 could help with this, but does anyone have experience with this specific use? Or is anyone educated enough to give me a more informed opinion on whether it's possible to fix this? - or an alternative that would help fix it?
Maybe it's too late now that 10 years have passed? I'm 38 and male

Thanks in advance

Nothing will regrow the valve. However 450 mg micronized diosmin / day can dramatically improve be the condition. It's commonly available otc in the US (often combined with hasperidin, the gold standard with tons of studies, and very low sides).

Thank you for this - I will pick some up and try it out.

Forgive my ignorance, but if angiogenesis is the formation of new vessels, isn't it possible those new vessels at least in some way mitigating the issue by taking some of the load - providing the new vessels are forming above the damaged vessels of course.

It's not as if angiogenesis will intelligently manifest where it's most needed to correct your issue. It's just as likely to connect to a nutrient hungry wart, or if you're lucky, a benign tumor like a lipoma, a non benign tumor if you're not.

Like male pattern balding or cancer, this is one of those issues that's so widespread, any med that could cure it would become a blockbuster overnight. It's not very likely a longstanding common peptide that could fix this has been "overlooked" with billions of dollars as the prize.

You could try to find a venous surgeon and get a consultation. Repairs can be made via surgery, especially if you're young, but they're rare and you'll really have to take charge because for the most part, doctors expect you to just live with it.

Regarding the intelligent manifesting - that's a fair point.

I'm just trying to apply uneducated logic to find a solution.
My lacking knowledge of these peptides was extrapolating from it healing injuries/damage in the body, such as muscle or tendon tears, and assuming it was plausible that it would also heal a valve.
Well that disappointing :D

I am due to see a vascular surgeon relatively soon actually, so I'll see if I can butter them up so that they'll do something about it. Though to be fair, since it's not private, I am probably pissing against the wind - but lets see.

Thank you for the study also! I've only read the abstract so far, but certain seems promising. You don't happen to know whether Diosmin would be non-advisable for someone with suspected Protein-S Deficiency, do you? (Im on apixaban anti-coagulant for it)
I'm only asking in the off chance you know, but will do some digging myself.

I am waiting to see a Haematology Consultant, so we can once and for all put it to bed whether I have it or not. It's a long story, but I reckon it's highly unlikely I have it. But still... until I know for sure I'd rather cover myself

Sorry I don't know about the contraindication with Proton-S deficiency, but the fact it's over the counter speaks well about its overall safety. You can ask the specialist when you see them.

I'd emphasize "If there's a surgical procedure that can correct this, that's something I'd be very willing to pursue, since I'm relatively young and live a physically active life. This didn't come from aging, but a one off event.".

And don't stop being curious and looking for unconventional or leading edge treatments. For the best health outcomes, you can't put blind faith in the hands of doctors like a trusting child. You must be your own relentless advocate. I've learned that lesson over and over.

Ok,I will be sure to emphasize that.
thank you for the help. It's appreciated!

I absolutely agree with not putting child-like blind faith in doctors. This is a lesson I have learned a few times myself.

I'm curious by nature and I have a particular interest in biology and performance, so I'd imagine this wont be the last time I'm enquiring whether something would work.

Thanks again.
