Test results switch from Cyp to Androgel

I have recent test results after being on Androgel for 4 months. I was using Cypionate weekly for several years until my system crashed - too much Test, etc. which resulted in libido and erection problems (I'm 58 -lessons learned, more is not always better). Anyway, I believe my system has stabelized. My current doctor is very happy with my test results but I just don't feel the way I use to. He says that I can't compare cypionate to Androgel because they are both very different. Like comparing apples to oranges (his words). I don't understand this. Libido and erections have returned but not as consistent or as strong as before and my energy level is somewhat lower while using Androgel. I feel tired some days although I know I'm getting enough sleep and my exercise progam and diet is good. This never happened before using Cypionate. My moods, however, have improved a lot while on androgel, which may be a result of the way Androgel is delivered in your system (gradually). My doctor uses LabCorp; My Results:Test Serum 627ng/dl (range 241-827); % free Test 2.62 (range 1.00 - 2.70) Test Free 16.43 (range 5.00 - 21.00) and Estradiol 14 pg/mL (range 0 -53).

I do remember that for years while on cypionate I was always on the high end of the range for Free and Test Serum and felt very good and energetic - libido was high, etc. I was taking about 125 mg weekly of cypionate. I'm currently using 6 pumps daily of Androgel. My questions: is there really a big difference using Cypionate vs Androgel or is just in the amount taken? (Going from 125 mg to 6 pump). How do I know that the gel is being absorbed totally? Should I talk to my doctor about increasing my dosage of Androgel to get me towards the higher end of each range? I don't know if using 6 pumps a day is enough for me. He seems to think I'm doing OK, even when I tell him it's not like before. I'm getting a little tired of applying this stuff every day. A weekly injection is less time consuming and easy to do (unfortunately he doesn't prescribe injections for Test).

Androgel and testosterone cypionate are different because of the differing delivery mechanisms. For example, you can expect greater increases in DHT from the Androgel. You could give 7 pumps/day a try, I suppose. Or you could find a new physician that is willing to prescribe weekly injections. Androgel is the best options for many patients, but if you've done both and prefer the shots, then maybe the shots are your best option.

Try the max dose of AndorGel 10 grams I just think there is a difference in doing shots as to gels. I have sore joints and muscles on the gels and my DHT went 3 times to high. My Total T was 600 not enough for me I need to be over 800 to feel good. I just did not do good on the gels.
