Testing for hGH

What are some suggestions for testing function and levels of hGH. I have a lot of the signs and symptoms of low testosterone but have heard the low hGH or glandular problems lead to the same set of complaints. I was told to start with testing IGF-1 plus total testosterone first. Is that where you think I should start or suggest doing other test instead.

So do you think you have low test? Or you did some bloodwork?
My levels 10 years ago at the age of 52 where like 410 ng/dl. Still feel tired, unmotivated at times, the whole ED thing, weight issues, etc. Never did start any therapy as I had it out with Urologist as he wasn't answering my question and just accusing me just want a Rx for Testosterone.

Brother, you're 62. It's part of getting old. My levels at 25 were in the low 400s at best.

Not saying you wouldn't benefit from trt if you are hypogonadal, but you need bloodwork. The "symptoms" of low t are incredibly ambiguous and broad in their root causes. Some of them have corolations with lower serum t levels, but not all have causations with lower t levels.

For example, fatigue/feeling tired is one of the primary symptoms of low t. it's also a main symptom of poor sleep hygiene. And poor sleep negatively impact serum t levels astoundingly.

Go get bloodwork, but don't expect testosterone to fix every ailment you have, at your age there are a huge amount of other factors for low t symptoms.

exactly this, feeling old at 50 makes sense..

If it was as easy as just having high testosterone and you'd feel energetic and good all the time, lol, damn, thatd be sweet.

Look at your sleep, stress, exercise, diet quality and quantity, hydration and then worry about your hormones. I dont see why you wouldnt just stay on a TRT dosage of test and a couple iu GH though.

Totally agree with you. What I wish I was told to do was get hormones check during their peak in my 20's so I know what that was and then I would have a true baseline to base where I should be based on the 1-3% reduction per year say after 30 to 40 years of age. When I do my testosterone levels again I will be able to see if my levels are at least appropriate for the 10 year period since last testing. Thanks!

If you feel tired, your vitamin-D level could be low. over 75 nmol/l is good
