Testing Group

Is anybody interested in forming a testing group? Members would chip in a to a general fund to pay for lab tests of popular labs to aid in harm reduction. I'm not exactly sure of all the logistics involved but this would start the conversation for whomever is interested.

would be cool, but good luck. I've seen it mentioned here many many times, nothing comes of it except the conversation that whose gonna pay, and who gets to see results. The groups wants to share results, but then no one is obligated to buy, so they results are kept within the group, which kinda goes against the point of meso, and so on...

the french guys got it down, but I'd be surprised to see enough humility on this side to make it happen.

I searched for this but it didn't pop up for some reason. I wish we could get this organized, but just skimming through that thread, more experienced people than I tried it. The lack of responses to my thread is kind of a tell as well. Bummer.

I love the idea, I do. But there's a lot of logistics and questions involved. Who gets to hold the funds, and are they trustworthy. How is it decided what product gets tested. What happens If half the group disagrees with a decision, and refuses to send money.

I know not everyone has extra money to send their own blind sample in, considering shipping is 120 plus up to 200 alone. But over the years, i prefer to use sources who openly have a credit or reimbursement policy. While this is no guarantee of a product being 100% accurate, at least I know I will get something in return for the money I spent. A bonus is if the source has covered or offered in the past to cover testing when a customer has a serious concern with one of their products.

While I'd love to see one get up and running, I'd prefer to not get involved and send blind samples in myself. Lots of potential headaches to work thru with a group.

You're right, us all being strangers makes the logistics a nightmare. I do appreciate the covering of lab testing by sources, and thats what prompted me to send the samples I did send. Wishful thinking on my part.

KISS. This is no way complicated. Multiple ways this can happen between two+ people if funding is needed. No need form an 'established' group. Maybe make a thread or private message potential users on this forum if they could help. The evidence is there, the posts, several stating "im game but..." You're game, on-call, potentially a volunteer if it arises and funds are there.

Eg, User 1 buys some Primo but would like to see if anyone could help with the funds. No reason, but would like some help. Jano is the guy doing the analysis so 50/50 split costs and 2 users send btc to jano's wallet.

Nobody needs to be trusted with funds (escrow) in a established group. There are other ways.

This can be complicated for example; User 1 sends sample to jano and pays his half and the user who volunteered decides not to then make another thread asking for help explaining the situation that user 'x' didnt come thru and see if anyone else could help.

[insert other examples here]

Im game too.

I like this idea of two members working together. I'd definitely be on board working with an established member who wants the same product tested. Or at least someone I feel I can trust to follow thru based on post history since that's all we really have on a forum.

Maybe when a member decides they would like a specific sample be sent in, either PM someone they saw who posted about it or even make a post in the sources thread asking to be pm'ed if anyone is interested. And details can be worked out then.

No it's not. Personal harm reduction means taking personal responsibility and testing the product you have in front of you, and you don't need a testing group to take advantage of the store credit sources offer and continue testing as you did for your own good. You can never know that a sample from a product someone else sent will match yours just because the label claims it's the same 'batch'. Also what @T&H said.

Now, if you have overarching questions concerning harm reduction that aren't based on some broscience conspiracy theory and require testing on a larger scale, post a thread in labtesting and/or tag me. Small cats, big dogs, mister Baker, make no mistake anyone of us could carry an anaboliclabs worth of testing costs on our backs and hardly feel burdened.
