Texas State Trooper Goes to Jail for Selling Steroids to Kerrville Cop

I know the police in my town look like they are on "hormone replacement" for a "medical condition".

Fine with me, as long as they come by them legally.

"COP PUNCHES TWEAKER. BREAKS HIM INTO 6 PIECES. FILM AT 11" [:o)]

cops cant be on "hormone replacement" for a "medical condition" its illegal.
cops can be on hormone replacement, for a medical condition. which from what im reading isnt always easy. or even acknowledged by some.
cops punching tweakers only for tweaking is a crime. unlike tweaking alone. IMHO.
some tweakers can run fast. so i hope cops can too. remember, police work isnt just a "fun run". theres a little more is at stake.
and you best select your tweaker very carefully.[:o)]

are you ok with the 90 to 180 day jail term. the $1000 fine. three years probation. how about the possibility of six years. after nine years of service. sound ok to you. not to me.
and the work cops do isnt always appreciated by their fellow cell mates. along with being busted by an undercover cop, how could anyone be clueless that theres a problem. so around in circles we go. more cops to police the cops. brilliant.

It's a shame to see someone lose their career over such a benign act. Here is a perfect example of why you don't tell anyone else you are using, this includes girlfriends you think you can trust, your best friend since kindergarten, the guy who saved your life in Iraq and your own brother.
You don't tell ANYBODY and you definately don't supply anyone else.

the act is illegal. and comprimises the law. thats partly why it shoulndt be illegal. the rest is paranoia and fear. because of consequences. to protect who.

I definately agree it shouldn't be illegal. In the mean time we all talk too much. We are our own worst enemies. It blows me away to see someone post the question, How do I tell my girlfriend?
Most guys change girlfriends as often as they change their underwear. I don't care how special you think THIS ONE is. If you aren't spending forever together, there are some things she just doesn't have a need to know. But I digress, my point was this guy should never have been selling to a buddy or anyone else. You take the risks you are willing to take and let him take his own risks with his career.
To me the first step is to accept the fact that professional athletes use steroids and then fire any politician who wastes taxpayer money on these useless investigations. After all, aren't they there to represent my interests as a taxpaying citizen? Aren't they there to be MY voice and represent MY agenda?

the first step, i think would be to accept the fact that a lot more people than just atheletes are using. i dont care about sports teams. and the applications are for everyone.
collectivley representatives represent OUR voice. and i dont think they are. or people arent speeking loud enough. or politicians just dont want to hear. i think most of us are on the same page. but these topics do effect a lot of people. in more ways than one.

cops can be on hormones for medical reasons. the same as being on thyroid, insulin or any other medication. they are people the same as everyone else. if anything, they suffer from hormone abnormalities more so than others due to stress, diet, aging and sleep conditions, including deprivation and apnea.

It is an ignorant public that buys into the political correctness/ bias that would damn law officers. Remember these men are also fathers, brothers, and husbands who also suffer from hormone ailments and deficiencies.

Too many people don't make a distinction between medical use of steroids and non-medical use of steroids. It seems like most people think that when someone like a cop uses steroids (testosterone), then they can only use them for illegal bodybuilding purposes.
