The Moutain of Injuries

Going to start a log of my journey to recovery and first time on stage. At 32 a hair shy of 5’11 at 165lbs feelin like barely held together pile of bones. For the past three years I’ve been sitting around 171 just trying to hold on to what muscle I can with a long list of injuries.
My goal is to step on stage at 195lbs by 35 year of age. Not looking for 1st but 10th/35 and I’ll be happy. If I do well right off the bat I’ll see where it goes up to 40 but its gonna be on and done otherwise.
I have a long list of injuries that has limited me from training consistently for a few years but it’s time to get them fixed.
The biggest limitation has been the hernia and my knee. With the knee I was able to get around it just by Icing and not going over board. But the hernia now has torn further and I need to get it repaired.
Also last summer as I was gearing up for my first real blast, I chopped my wrist with a freshly sharpened hatchet cutting through 3 tendons on the outside of my left wrist stopping in the bone of my unla and just grazed my nerve.
Other injuries include small tare in the Pec, Labrum and rotator cuff, some blown out finger tendons from climbing and the knee from salmon fishing.
Im going to start GH and Bpc157 this summer and get the surgery lined up for august. Would love to look into stem cells but not sure I can afford it.

Best of luck with your recovery brother

Been in a similar situation, but not as bad as you.
Between the bad back and knees, I was having some serious issues.

Train smart and g
keep going brother.

Injuries are a Mother Fucker! But I’ve always learned quite a bit from these setbacks.

I finally got my hernia repaired and boy did it suck. I am one month out from surgery, but I popped a stitch in my belly button on day one. As you can see in the first pic they glued my stomach hair into the wound so as soon as I stood up to pee in the hospital it ripped open. They did not shave me cause they did not intend to open up my belly button until they found a second hole. I try to get the surgery to do something about it but she said just take Tylenol and use and antibiotic cream. Not very happy but as long as the pain goes away I’m not going to bother going after her.
So I’m hopefully that, in two weeks I’ll be back to working out!

Sounds like you've been on the mend for a month now, but here's to a speedy recovery! Good luck!

Also, i think there was a guy or two that posted recently regarding hernia repair. Hopefully they see this and can benefit from your first hand experience!

How about the first time getting out of bed after the repair? That shit was painful af lol.Glad you are recovering you will back in no time.

Luckily I have recliner in the basement that’s 8ft from a bathroom, but getting in and out of bed was near impossible by myself until week 3. I still can’t lie on my side.
