The squat thread

question for those that participate in the Kings movement.

How many times a week do you squat?
What stance do you use?
High bar or low bar?
Grip placement?
ATG or parrellel or half reppin?
What was your best squat breakthrough technique?

For me I usually have squatted 3x a week but as of late Ive been doing a squat everyday sorta thing and I'm loving it, no DOMs as daily intensity is quite low but weekly volume is very high and total pounds pushed per week will be pretty high too in the coming weeks.

I'm low bar medium stance medium grip 2" below parrellel and pause squats and speed squats have been my best plateau breakers so far.
I've always squatted 3x per week.
narrow, olympic-style stance.
high bar. sits right on top of my traps.
pinkies about an inch inside the rings.
always atg unless a certain minor injury prevents me from going down those last 2 inches, which is my current situation. I'll be going back to atg soon though.
Don't really have a breakthrough technique tbh. The only times my squat has ever not been steadily increasing has been when I've had back injuries. I never seem to have problems increasing it when healthy though. Hoping to get 600 by the end of the year :)

edit - i squat in nike romaleos also

So do you guys who squat 3-4-5x a week deadlift? If so i would really like to know how you're doing it. Heavy squat and deadlift in the same week for me is pushing it. I can maybe pull it off for 2 weeks then have to go light on one or the other for the 3rd week. If i do a set of 5 at 85% 1rm on squat i am lucky to be able to do the same thing on deadlift within the same week.

I'm young and use performance enhancing substances to aid in recovery. But it's just how my programming is what works for me probably won't work for most

I squat once a week, usually on a Thursday. With dead-lifts on Monday, my back feels ready. I cant imagine how to dead-lift heavy and squat more than once a week, I need a few days recovery between both. I usually end up with a lot of sets, If i could figure how to warm up faster and do less, multiple times may work

I work my way up to heavy going parallel. then on my down sets I do a bunch of ATG and pause sets. I keep the bar high with my hands pretty far apart, It actully takes a few sets to work my shoulder to get my hands close

I'm currently only squatting and deadlifting 2x/week each for the Sheiko program. Normally I'd be squatting 3x with deadlift 2x. I'm in my early going on mid 30's right now. Low frequency never really worked well for me.
