On week 2 of tren ace and im feeling amazing.. I did barbel curls last night to start arm, 6 sets to be exact.. I have forearm pain this morning like when i do a curl its fuked..

Could it be the barbel doing this and i need to use a ez curl bar instead?

I rarely do barbel curls i stick to dumbels and cables but my bud says barbel is what builds mass so i tryed to implement it in my routine but i dont like it

Super normal to have pain in the forearms after doing curls with Olympic bars at the beginning when you aren't use to it.

When I started my elbows and forearms were mangled but I was doing 135 not controlled. I switched to controlled 95 for 15 and then super set with triceps and go back and forth at the beginning of arm day my elbows and forearms
Have no pain. I've added a lot of mass switching from ez-curl bars

Out of those 5 sets of barbell curls, how many were warm up sets, and how many were work sets? I subscribe to the theory that once you have done a few warm up sets and one balls-out work set, you are done with that exercise. Move on to the next exercise.

I agree with almost all you just said but what i do is several warmup sets then i will do 2 or 3 working sets...go to another unrelated group and warm it up or work a couple sets.....then i go back to the curls for several sets on ez bar or straight.
Started using the 45lbs bar with a grip that varies a couple months ago....really like it too.

OP...my forearms are nearly unuseable if i go heavy at first with a straight bar.
Try ez bar...short straight bar with lighter weight various types of dumbbell curls....then go heavy on the big bar.

You might have "golfers elbow" which i have suffered from off and on. Using gear allows you to lift more than your tendons can sometimes handle, thus the injury that is similar to golfers elbow. YOu can google or youtube some stretching exercises to help alleviate the problem but you really have to keep after it. Deep tissue massage also helps.

I get inside elbow pain when curling with a BB. I under any circumstance will not do that anymore, even at a lighter weight. EZ bar keeps my elbows healthy when curling with both arms.

Let it rest for months cuz veach time i thought it was better i hurt it again. Took 8 months to heal...now ican curl 2 loaves:confused:
