Those powerplates!

What do you guys think of this powerplate fad!

I had a go on one yesterday after my workout cos I read they're good for increasing bone density and loosening off muscles. Also, this old man I was speaking to said that he couldn't kneel down before using one but after a few months he can now bend his knees!

I was thinking of adding a day to my schedule and just doing 45 minutes stretching and maybe 30 minutes callisthenics on the machine!

i tried a power plate the other day, it left me feeling like shit. a bit of a headache and i felt sort of wobbly as well. how did you feel when you got off it?

Yeah I felt all right I guess. Bit weird but the studies on it are looking good from what I'm reading. Apparently if you press up on it for example you build a lot more muscle as it forces you to use 99% of your muscle fibres!

As per my usual operating procedure with things I cranked it up to the max. Little worried it might unscrew some bolts in my spinal fuse is all lol. Seriously, I wonder if that can happen

I only did a few minutes though. Don't know what half an hour would do!

lol, thats funny, i did the same thing. the only time it was on a lower setting was as i was ramping it up 10.0 on the richter scale.

then i tricked a shapely girl at work into 'trying' it out-awesome!

I had another go on the powerplate today. Now, this could be cos I trained my chest day before yesterday, it could also be cos it was the end of my session today and I'd done 4 sets of deadlifts too but doing pressups on that power plate seemed nearly twice as hard as they usually are. Coudn't do nearly as much.

Any thoughts?
