Tim Sylvia...oops!

I'm at work and only have 5 more minutes. I flipped through Mark's UFC thread...

Nick Diaz: Holy what the hell!?!?!?! Amazing to me.

Oltimer: I said Chuck would win.

Point of the thread: Tim Sylvia tests positive again which is why he didn't fight. What the hell was he thinking? The winstrol would have been LONG gone by now. Hogg, didn't I tell you that you should e-mail him and explain to him how to do this shit properly? LOL

Anyhow, it's back to being a "real person". I think I like college better...and it's only been 2 days. :D

sylvia is clean as of friday...check out FCF's website. Looks like arlovski and sylvia will be fighting soon

He gets another shot? That's odd. You'd think the NAC would give him a lifetime ban or something. Not that he deserves it or anything, but that's how silly the NAC is.

I could swear that they said he would fight Arlovski for the title.....perhaps he has to face Kyle first. I seem to recall that Sylvia even mentioned something along those lines in his interview.

Scariest UFC heavy out there, OT. He should be their new poster boy. He looks every bit the part of fighter. I know when I first started paying a little bit of attention, Rizzo was the champ. Didn't look to scary to me.

In fact, an awful lot of fighters look like wimps or something. I mean, what's scary or even that athletic looking about Jeremy Horn? Cabbage? Tank?

Arlovski, on the other hand, well he's just intimidating...and scary!

any pics of him?

Anybody notice the shape of robbie lawler's skull? Very odd looking melon that fella has.

The UFC review says Sylvia might go up against Mir the next time around.

Hmmm, that makes sense....they have enough on the card for UFC 48 already.

I wonder how Mir will do against Sylvia?

Arlovski is definitely improving every time I see him. This was one of the best overall UFC's I've seen in a while. Only one decision all the rest were KO or sub.
Can't wait for the Pride Heavy Weight Grand Prix

I'll be interested in the GP, myself. It might be the proving ground for CroCop's assertion of "left leg: hospital; right leg: morgue". IIRC, Crocop has Coleman in the first round.

Now, I love Mark Coleman, but I think he may be in a little bit of trouble. He's old and hasn't fought consistently in years. His age may adversely affect his already marginal conditioning. If it does...:( Let's just hope he doesn't allow himself to get kicked in the head ala Pete whatever the hell his name was.

You were close Grizzly...

Cro-Cop fights Kevin Randleman and Mark Coleman fight Fedor, both first round fights. Randleman took the fight because "no one else want to fight Mirko." LOL. They couldnt find any fighters that wanted to fight Mirko in the first round.

Coleman is going to have his hands full with Fedor.

Damnit! I'm always getting those two mixed up. Eastern Bloc goofballs! :)

What's your take on that, Mark? Coleman will more than likely score the takedown, but I think Fedor will pull out a submission. Either way, it'll be a good fight. Those two are the hardest punchers on the ground I've ever seen.

CroCop v. Randleman may as well be CC v. Coleman. They're the same damn fighters. Actually, Randleman is infinitely less interesting to watch than Coleman, but they're very similar nonetheless. Probably since they've been training together for 15 years.

Well, I think Coleman/Fedor fight wont be tough for Fedor. I think Coleman's conditioning is suspect, and he hasnt been in championship form since the last GP. I think it will be a first-round formality for Fedor.

As far as CroCop and Randleman, what can I say? Randleman has a weak chin and a weak arm (ala Sakuraba). Randleman will want this fight on the ground, which is good, because CroCop has been training on the ground extensively (with rumors that he has been training with MFS, Saku at the Takada Dojo, and Machado JJ...rumors only might I add). I think CroCop is going to catch Randleman with a kick KO or an attempted takedown turned into viscious soccer-kicks. Either way Cro-Cop over Randleman.

On a side note: Why the hell isnt Randleman better? Considering the guy is the biggest, strongest and fastest of the middleweights, you would think he would beat somebody sometime...I guess not. I would think that with an NCAA Wrestling Title the guy would be a warrior, but he seems anything but that...

I don't know what his problem is. I always expect him to decimate people, but he doesn't. Not really since he took out Mo Smith. That was the best I've seen him look.

I guess he's like a pro BB; looks scary, but really isn't.
