Hi everyone, recently tore my ACL and miniscua at a football tryout. I had surgery 4 weeks ago and I'm feeling decent. Does anyone know any excerises to keep as much size and strength as possible without do further harm. Also does anyone have any advice on building up stength in my knee quickly so I can return to 100%?

I would seek out a physical therapist around your area. They will be able to give you the best advice possible as far as rehab goes. Also i wouldn't rush it.

If the tear was on the outer edge of the menisca it can be healed in one month by takeing a shot of DMSO each night before bed. I like to coat my mouth with hoeny first so I do not taste the shit. If the tear was towards the center of the menisca theiri s nothing but time to get it healed. Your surgreon should have told you it could take up to a year to heal properly and if you act like a fucktard and try to rush it you will end up never playing football again so do not be retarded!

Go seek out the rehab staff for the college football team first and then seek out one outside of the team for a second opinion.

The worst thing in the world to tryand deal with is an injured athlete that is of less then average intellebinence....They alway try to rush shit and they always end up making themselfs worse then tthey where before.

Do the hell you surgeon recmends. Probably lots of walking and isomtric exercise's. For the upper body use machines until the knee is totaly healed this way you are not putting extra stress on the injured limb. Walking should be done at 10 minute mile pace or faster!!!! Water Aerobics are great to keep your limber and your heart fit.

If you go about this rehab inthe right way and include things like power walking and water aerobics in addition to the rehab you have the chance to re-invent your body to make it better thenit was before in some reguards. Your knee will never be the same but as long as it is allowed to heal properly it does nothave to hold you back at all. You will just need to adpat training to suit the knee. I have all kinds of knee work and when you are ready let me know and I can try to help. I was told I wouldnever walk again and had another surgeon tellme I would walk but that would be all I was ever able to do. I proved both of them wrongs.
