Tried brewing my own bac water and have questions?

I mixed 10ml distilled water with .9ml benzyl alcohol in a sterilized beaker.
Immediately it's a water and oil like effect, they aren't mixing. Like I put olive oil in there.
My benzyl alch is from.a rep source but it may have been messed up by some factor since I originally purchased
Tried adding some.heat and left it out while I went to the gym. Just got home and it's cloudy
Bad benzyl?

Gotta check my math but maybe that's 10x too much BA. Supposed to be 0.9% so 0.9 mL per 100 mL.

Yeah I had a derp moment. Followed a recipe without double checking
.1 ml benzyl did the trick. .09 to be exact
