TRT dosage

In my early 40s and my doc just put me on 150mg of test cyp every 2 weeks for TRT. Bloodwork had my test at 226. The prescription comes in 200mg vials and the expectation is that I throw away the extra. Should I just stick with the TRT dose as prescribed or would you take the full 200mg outside of testing intervals? I workout 5 days a week and have noticed a gradual decline in results over the last 10 years. I would love to get more out of it, but have no desire to do a real cycle at this point.

150mg every two weeks is a ridiculously low dose. I’d throw out the doctor rather than the test.

My doc is conservative and he gives me 100mg a week. Tail end of that 2 weeks, you gonna feel like shit. I'd find a doc who knows what he's doing

I was discussing exactly that with my wife. I never did cyp before only enth and was already concerned about that. What about doing 100mg a week instead of 200 every other as a stop gap until I can get it changed? I still need to do more research on cyp.

100mg per week keeps me in range, although I’m gonna try to hustle 150 at my visit this week. He probably won’t do it and that’s ok but I’ll try. Every 2 weeks is just dumb imo. What kind of doc is it? PCP or urologist or something else? My urologist is who prescribes me mine

Just pin 2 x per week of 50 mlgs and u be good man… keep the rest dont throw it out… pre load syringes and ull never run out

Or even 75 mlgs per week…

It is my PCP. I had no intention of getting on TRT although I knew I could use it. Went in for my annual checkup and he ran blood and offered it up.

I’d go see a specialist, my pcp referred me to my urologist when he saw my test levels
I will look into that. My PCP had to go back and forth with insurance for a couple months to get it approved so I am somewhat leery of going through that process again. If I am going to do it I would prefer to be on the best plan for me though.

100mg/week is pretty typical for most primary care Dr i have been to over the last 25 years of Dr prescribed TRT.
Clinics geared towards TRT tend to go higher.
Injections every 2 weeks leaves T levels fluctuating a lot.
1-2 time a week injections are better.
I would do 50mg 2x a week if you want to stay with your Dr. Blood work is the only way to know if it keeps you in a decent range or not. Some do well on that protocol and some have more moderate results.I find urologists more user friendly then endo's
