unresponsive muscles?

Has anybody "deadened" a muscle from an injection?
Let me try to explain...say somebody shot their tricep and then noticed a day or two later that when contracting the tricep, the bottom portion of the big head doesn't contract...it stays soft.
Anybody had similar situations in any muscle? What was the outcome? Does it come back or atrophy to zero?

thanks,
JaPe

I do a lot of quad injects and i have noticed a lack of development and strength gains in my quads. I do feel the muscle does not grow as fast as my other muscles even on high dose cycles.

Sorry to hear that, man.

I wish my situation was like that. My triceps just don't contract on the lower part. Like the top portion is hard, but the bottom part feels mushy, like it's still relaxed.

Anybody have this happen?

High BA gear can damage tissue....

Certain things out there are suspended in pure BA to keep them "stable", as far as I can tell. This particular shot had an extremely high BA content.

My tricep strength hasn't dropped, and there's no pain. So are we talking permanent or temporary tissue damage? Will I get the ability to contract the entire muscle or will it stay mushy forever?

thanks,

I'm not one of the guys on this board who know tons about this stuff or anything, but i was reading a drug profile on winny on bodybuilders.com and it said that when injected it can "break the fascia around the muscle, which possibly gives a muscle a little more room to grow. This is mostly temporary, and in the best cases very limited. Multiple injections would not increase the size in comparison. When the fascia heals, if it heals, it can lead to something called compartments syndrome, where a nerve is pinched between a muscle and its fascia. Leading to numbness quite often and in some cases to a paralysis of everything that nerve controls." i don't know if this is the cause of you problem or if you knew about it, but its something i came across and thought it might possibly help you out. Good luck man

I doubt it's compartment syndrome b/c you would be in the ED by now. But I wouldn't be surprised if Winny weakens the fascia surrounding muscle bodies. My understanding is that Winny is no friend of connective tissue. Next time you go to the doctor have him check your reflexes (triceps). EMS would answer the contractile question as well.

The problem you present is that in the absence of pain or loss of strength it's hard to believe this is a nerve or neuromuscular junction problem. If forgot which head you said this was but it's hard to believe you've lost contraction but have not lost strength. If I had to guess I would say you've caused a local inflammatory response that's mostly fluid. Excess fluid in a compartment is no big deal when it's flabby . . . it's when it hardens up that you start to worry . . . compartment syndrome as noted by spound. But the take home from me would be to stop shooting your tricep and watchful waiting . . . but if you have any other reason to be concerned besides no horseshoe then you should probably get some professional medical attention.

Thanks for the input guys.

Here's some info I left out...

I was injecting IGF. I have stopped all IGF injections since I noticed the tricep thing. There's is absolutely no pain, and I have lost no strength...I am actually benching (both normal and close grip) more than I ever have before.

The area of the tricep affected is the long head (the part of the tricep that touches your lats when your arms hang relaxed by your side). The upper 2/3's will contract hard as a rock, but the bottom 1/3 (closest to the elbow) doesn't...it stays mushy. Again, no pain, no discoloration, no numbness etc.

I would think with the number of shots that people give themselves, somebody else would have had a similar experience?

Thanks again,
JaPe
