US Veterans Day 2024

Today, on Veterans Day, we pause as a community—and as a nation—to pay tribute to the men and women who have stepped forward in service to our country. They’ve stood at the forefront, facing unimaginable challenges and personal sacrifice to protect our freedom and preserve the ideals that define who we are as Americans. Their bravery and dedication remind us that the freedoms we enjoy every day are neither free nor guaranteed—they have been earned through the courage of those willing to defend them.

President Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Each generation must choose to honor, protect, and carry forward the legacy of those who served before us. Our veterans took up that responsibility with a sense of duty and an unbreakable will, choosing service over self, often at great personal cost. They have been guardians of liberty and protectors of peace, standing resolute in the face of adversity, often thousands of miles from home.

General George S. Patton’s words remind us, “It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived.” Today, we remember not only those who are no longer with us but also those veterans among us, carrying the weight of their sacrifices and the memories of battles fought. They remind us every day of what it truly means to be strong, to be resilient, and to be committed to something greater than oneself.

In their honor, let us approach our day with renewed purpose. Let us strive to embody the same strength, integrity, and dedication in everything we do. As we face our own challenges, let us be inspired by the courage and selflessness of our veterans who have shown us that commitment and service can change the world.

To all our veterans, we thank you.
