After 6 week cycle of Var,Very nice results with the wifes muscle gains, hrt 300 T level,20 mg var split morn and evening, tapering down now with 10 mg same split. liver tests all under 18,not any different than last yrs tests pre cycle. Her lipids did get worse, hdl went down from 56 to 23, ldl went up from 67 to 102. I guess thats normal for 6 weeks of var or dbol. Thinking on adding the primo in now. Thyroid went down from 3.9 last year to 1.73 Kinda odd,she wasnt taking west thyroid t3/t4 then. she has been taking it for almost 3 months? Eating strict keto last 5 months 1650 cal. Later couple months doing ckd warrior, cycling carbs to replenish glycogen every 2 weeks. pumps are crazy during these 2 days. gained alot of lean mass in upper body and quads. BUT, fat in mid section and mid leg just wont burn out? Is low thyroid causing this? Primo gtg now? Maybe increase the t3/t4 up past 1/2 grain?

Yea tsh test. Haven't got t3/t4 tests yet. Reading how tsh high numbers can mean a low functioning thyroid is strange for her unless t4 is low also . When her tsh was high at 3.9 couple years ago she was ripped with less training than now at 1.96 and last bit fat not burining out

Hard to tell without knowing t3/t4 values, but generally you'll find that weight gain and difficulty shedding excess pounds comes with hypothyroid patients that have higher TSH. If it's the same scale my labs use, her TSH values are in the normal range, and they were still normal at 3.9, too.

If she's taking t3/t4 meds, it sounds like it's doing what it's supposed to do by suppressing TSH. If that's what she is doing, I'd tread carefully. Being hyperthyroid has just as many negative consequences as being hypothyroid. I've been both after having my thyroid removed and neither are a fun experience.

Yes she is taking west thyoid. Just don't get why she was able to burn more fat with a higher tsh and training less. She was eating carbs then also. She may have been eating less calories. But she is on strict keto now at 1650 cal. Hard to make sense of that

Less calories easily explains it if that's the case.

Maybe it'd be a good time to change things up with her diet. I know you said she replenishes every two weeks, but after 5 months of keto it sounds like she's just hitting a plateau. Adding some healthy carbs back in for a period (longer than a day or two!) could help her body reset. Who knows, she may decide she feels even better.. especially since her training is more intense now. Don't have articles backing this up, but I've used a keto approach in the past. Just my own experience. Good luck!

PS- I still say she should join Meso so we can talk to her firsthand :)

She isn't much of a internet gal but she may start posting. It does seem to be helping her grow dong the glycogen replenish. But no help on fat loss. Her pumps are incredible on carb days. She bloats like crazy though. Gets toxic gas. Lol. She loves eating keto. I'd be scared to go full carb with her again but she may need to. Debating starting her primo run now. Lipids went up a bit but liver was perfect after var.
Also I forgot to mention she went down to 1450 cal over a month ago. Still putting on mass with these few cals. But fat in middle not moving much. If she was eating 2000 cal on var she would be a beast.

How she got into shape with a TSH of 3.9 was crazy will.

Before primo I would experiment with more carb days. Her body might be in survival mode.

I personally do 2 carb days (workout days) and then one crazy low carb day (day off). Calories the same on all days minus the calories I would have burned at the gym.

Assuming if you are doing only one low card day you arent shooting for keto,Im wondering if its possible to go into survival mode on 100% keto. I think she may be genetically predisposed to holding fat there. Still has to be a way to be rid of it.
She was also taking another drug for unrelated health issues when she got super thin with a tsh of 3.9 doing nothing but cardio I still dont really understand it.

I made my suggestion based I was on a keto diet and got into a lot better shape but then got stagnant.

I then did as above and got leaner only losing 2lbs. My entire metobolic rate went up evidenced by my calorie count increasing up by around 250-300 calories. I know this as I have weighed my food down to the gram.

Just a suggestion

I see what u mean. I posted a thread about carb cycling keto with a warrior ckd diet that cycles in carb loading for glycogen replenishment 2 days every 2 weeks. It seems to be helping her. She is doing the cardio routine 5 to 6 days week 30 min with the associated workout. Good to see it increased your metabolic rate
