Ok my norton keeps popping up saying it is scanning message 1of1. Does this 10 times in a row every time I start up IE. It is really pissing me off. Any suggestions. I am not trying to email anyone but it is acting like it is scanning emails

check to see that you have the latest virus definitions. anytime my pc does some weird shit i verify this because viruses cause strange pc behavior. better paranoid than sorry, is what i say. it's supposed to download them automatically but you never know. i believe the latest ones are from 2-20-04 rev. 7. these will take care of the latest 'netsky' virus.

ok i did that and i ran live update. the live update didnt get me anynew updates but since rebooting i have opened IE twice with no problems. i will keep em crossed. thanks buddy

sometimes programs just fuck up...rebooting kinda smacks some sense into them
