Warm-up getting longer

Guys, it now takes me 25 min est to warmup, and as the older, I get the worst it gets and ill only be 38 soon, and I warm up with a sweater on, this is only for doing any presses or triceps. my joints hurt or just can't do the weight until I fully warm and stretched. i use the pink dumbells to just do front, side raises and spin the arms...im just annoyed......any comments or tips

Dude I'm getting the same way. I'm only 32 but it takes me forever to warmup. For upper body my warmup goes like this:

Cable face pulls
Band shoulder hyperextensions
Yates shoulder warmup

All giant setted together for about 5 rounds. Then on my first movement I do pyramiding warmups up to my working weights. That takes fucking forever

yea me too I have to do a pyramid to warmup, on the bright side I get stronger but I feel I am depleted and really annoyed after all the warmup, as I want to do 45 min training only

My warmups usually consist of the empty bar for one or two high rep sets.

i should probably get a little more serious about injury prevention.

I'm 50, soon 51. I can lift a lot heavier and longer with a good warmup. It's a necessity with my age and the heavy weights I still lift. When I was young, I'd do 1 warmup set on the first exercise then go to town. Those days are gone and I'm in this for the long haul.

I find I train much better with a good 20+ minute warmup. If I try to just do some quick stretches and jump in my whole routine suffers.

Yeah that's part of the reason I drink an intra. Makes a huge difference with the depletion issue. 10g EAAs, 30-50g dextrose and some beet root and citrulline. Keeps the BP down too which lets me push harder

Advice... others should read and pay attention to this. Stretching and warming up are a big deal.

Ok good so it's not just me lol...you need confirmation sometimes, so I just got to put that extra time in my budget now, I just started back working out after a few years and hopefully this time I don't stop and make it part of my life.

I wish my highschool teacher would have shown us the proper way to do this. when we were younger and did the after school gym class, we would just show off and lift heavy with no warmup and proper stretching, and i remember a few years later when i bench press it would feel like fire in the shoulders.
