What mistakes did you make when you first started out home brewing?

I am still in the exploratory and research phase of trying my hand at this, so I was just curious what potential and common pitfalls might be in store that I could avoid.

Mixed BA and BB
Too much pressure on the syringe filter, I jizzed sust all over me
Mislabeled dbol for test c and wondered why the f it didn't go into solution at 200mg/ml
Too much suck on plastic bottletop receiver, cracked and lost 500ml brew
Pocked myself with needles a few times
Fumes from BB/BA on the heater stirrer made me nauseous (big batch)
Tripped, dropped a bag of EQ and stepped on it. The mess to clean that sticky shit up was worst than the lost raw
Tried to handle vials from an oven bare hands (still have the mark on my finders)
Left tren pellets on magic solution a few days too much and it turned into a sludge
Broken vials, broken media bottles (some half full of brew) and labware in general, oils spills, solvents spilled, you name it.

Enough? o_O

I've been in the dabbling/research phase of this myself and highly interested. I can see myself nerding out on it. But agreed with above, the prices from China make it hard to get motivated to take the jump.

Label your shit
Invest in a quality scale
Triple check your double checks and recipe before mixing everything together.
If you are trying a new recipe start small.
It's never a bad idea to test your raw, it's rare that there is a mixup. But if you search on this forum you WILL find times it has happened.
Some common orals will not suspend well and you will need to find an augmented suspension or just go india pharma.
Capping is A LOT of work for personal amounts of orals. Depending on the compound, dosage, and filler you will need to test and do variance testing just to be confident your cap is the mg/mcg it is supposed to be.

Dont go too big if it's just for you and you do low doses or trt. I started off with bottle top filters and media bottles. Realized the work of alcohol bath, distill water bath, dedicated drying toaster oven is just way to much work to justify a years worth of test. It's easier to just put it thru a syringe filter into a clean capped vial. If you are doing grams a week by all means go big and refill your media bottles.

It's a very nice feeling knowing I never have to worry about a source, supply chain, or clinic for a drug I will be on for life. Vac sealed raws kept in a climate controlled environment will last decades.

China oils are cheap, and you could probably come very close on cost with only a refilter. But if i am going to refilter the oils anyways id rather just be responsible for everything so I have nobody to blame but myself if its not perfect.
