What Protien Supplement?

Hi,

I am just about to do my first cycle and wnat to know what supplements are best. I currently use a Protien/Carb mix and am wondering whether it will be better to go to a 100% protien mix for the duration of the cycle?

Whole food sources are best.
Sure you can have some protein powder after a workout but your meals should be whole foods firstly.

If you cant get your protein requirement from food then you can add in the whey protein to get your target amount.

Whey protein actually spikes insulin, now if you are dieting then this should be avoided by taking some fish oils with the protein unless it is post workout.

I have one protein shake a day after my workout.
Other than that I have protein/fats/carbs in each meal, with the exception of post workout where I have no fats.

That carb mix I would be willing to bet is just sugar, now as cheap as that stuff is you are paying sugar.

I like Designer Whey protein myself.
 
Thanks for that - just what I was after.

I've got a load of ZMA and Tribulis from a previous session, is it wise to use these during the cycle? I've heard tribulis is a load os b*llocks.

Use that stuff with your PCT
ZMA at night before bed on an empty stomach by itself, no milk or any form of calcium or it will bind to it rendering it worthless.

The trib, I would take with meals as it can upset your stomach, 3 times a day for that.
Some guys love trib and others dont, I would recomend the TwinLabs stuff myself.

To get the most benefits from the cycle you will have to eat. Gear puts you in a positive nitrogen ballance so with this you can add some extra protein while on cycle and get some benefits there.
