When to add EO?

So I'm a little confused how to treat EO. Should I add with solvents and powder, or wait until powder is dissolved and add with oil? Is there syringes I can get that don't melt when in contact with it? Just brewed for the first time and learned it's a bad idea to draw it up in a syringe and leave it sitting for 20 minutes. Needless to say a graduated glass cylinder is on the way now.

A little left of center on this topic, but i'm curious about EO, so i figured i'd drop the question here.
Plus it bumps the op's question that has gone unanswered. Win, win.

Is EO a solvent or a carrier oil... or is it used for both?

Can you tell that this home brew stuff is new to me!? :D

I think it's sort of both? I've been adding it slowly after BB and everything has dissolved, then I add in oil. I've only made a few batches though and am still very green at this, but it's fun and I have tons of expirements sitting in a drawer now.

It's a carrier that has solvent abilities. Not a stand alone solvent. And as for when to use it I've seen 100% eo ugl's that thier products were very smooth, top notch products. There is no documented proof that it has a negative affect on the body. Some argue that due to how it breaks down stoppers and other plastic or rubber it would have the same affect on the body, but thats not necessarily true. Some compounding pharmacies here in the US use it as a carrier in some injectables as well as some other countries. A small percentage of peoples have a negative reaction to it (we're talking 2 to 3 percent). I find just as many, if not more, have negative reactions to mct oil. Many ugl's use a percentage eo in thier recipes. I believe pharmacom uses 10%.

Pcom told me they use 10% in their test base, I think it has to be more since it's 100mg/ml allegedly. What are your thoughts on the safety of guaiacol?
