Which GLP-1 to use?

Friend of mine is looking to lose 30lbs before her wedding. She's never tried GLP-1 before.

I personally lost 72lbs starting with Sema -> Tirze -> Reta in that progress, but that took me still 2 years plus. Is there any recommendations for what she should begin with since she has a shorter time frame?

I personally have never seen a single case of a woman trying to rush to lose a bunch of weight before a wedding where everything turned out good.

Controlled water fast (electrolytes added) with some intermittent sardines and brussel sprouts. How bad does she want it?

iykyk.
based. Water fast + GLP-1 is king and pretty healthy. When it comes to body composition, your body burns less muscle on a fast, due to the lack of insulin response you would experience compared to a regular cut (reduction in calories consumed).

Sprinkle in some addons like methylene blue, carnitine, apple cider vinegar and LISS cardio and possible GH for fat loss.

How long does she have?

That will be the real indication of how much she can reasonably lose. Her starting point will make a difference too.

All the major GLPs are awesome tbh. Tirz seems to generally be the best tolerated with least sides, but sema is great too. I'd hold off on reta given shes just starting but there's no reason it wouldn't be super effective.

Lower fat keto diet and Sema and she should be good in 3-4 months. Once she "makes weight" have her start raising her carbs and lowering her fat so she doesn't look like she has been on a meth binge.

She needs to make lifestyle changes if she is going to sustain her new look so that should be the focus of her new found lack of hunger.

Just... don't.

Ha yeah but thays a pretty dumb case she reportedly was having issues the whole time and was stacking with Saxenda... just dumb.

To the OPs question, 30 lbs is pretty reasonable for most people with any of the major GLPs given a decent amount of time. If they've got 6+ months they should be good to go. Might not get all 30lbs but 20-25 would still probably have them feeling pretty great.

Never heard of the “Reta” one until recently on a podcast with a Dr. I guess that’s a Gen GLP-1/GIP or something. Thought he said it was still in the works didn’t know it was going around already until yesterday. Anyone on the up and up with it?
Links would be nice too. Found some but not a lot.

Sema = GLP1
Tirz = GLP1 + GIP
Reta = GLP1 + GIP + glucagon

You lose some GLP1 efficacy when GIP and glucagon are added in.

Well, the best option is probably any GLP-1, but I’d go with Tirz since it comes with some extra perks. Pair that with Lyle McDonald’s RFL diet - aka the infamous PSMF and your friend will be 100% wedding-ready. Though, speaking from experience, women aren’t usually willing to make such sacrifices… even for a wedding.

My experience with GLP-1s was the same as you (Sema -> Tirz -> Reta). Since I had lots of weight to lose, I actually lost the most amount of weight on Sema. However, anecdotal reports say that Reta is actually much better at keeping the GI side effects down while losing more weight in the same amount of time as Sema.
