sometimes after applying androgel 5 i get white dry powder/paste on my arms. as if the gel dried up and left this white dry markings on me. any one else ever have this happen?

I just noticed this myself yesterday. I think it was because I didnt spread it as thin as I usually do but not sure.

I had that problem also when i first started the androgel....... if u apply too much to one spot it will do that....... i started to apply some to my forearm and mid section and i never noticed any white marks again........ i feel it will also absorb better if u spread it out rather then all in one spot............

White residue comes from too much being applied to one area. As a theoretical example, say that every square inch of skin can absorb, at the max, 1/10 mililiter of gel and you have to apply 5 ml. So, you'd need to apply it to 50 square inches of skin. If you only used 40 then it all would not be absorbed properly and you'd get the residue.

This is a real basic version but you get the drift I'm sure.

Also, by maximizing the area you are also maximizing the efficiency of the dose. At one time I had to restrict my gel to a single area of the body and my T levels actually ended up dropping to BELOW pre-TRT levels!!! Why? Because the skin was saturated and couldn't absorb any more. The rest just flaked off in the form of that white residue.

so what do you suggest to do apply further down the arms since applying to the abdomen raises estrogens where else is there to apply?

The inside of the forearms can be used. Just make sure you do not apply it to the area where the blood will be drawn.

The inside of the thighs works okay, too.

When I take a guy above 5 grams per day Androgel I recommend additional application area. Yes, this increases serum levels.

Is this only critical when close to a blood draw or should one avoid application in the zone where blood is drawn always?
