Stretch out in the sauna. The people that claim high kicks aren't practical are the people that can't effectively use high kicks. Everyone is all about "strength and power". What about technique. Watching most fighters kick these days is a joke. No one has good technique, well very few. People telegraph kicks soooo bad. People don't effectively use turning/spinning kicks. Most of the fighters are converts from less agile disciplines, I understand, but there has to be someone out there that has some stand up technique....anyone??brasco said:HI,
is there some drug to help you to stretch the muscles??
I'm a fighter and I do lots of kicks, when I fight I don't use high kick, not practical and danger, but when I workout in gym I do lots of stretching exercises and high kicks. the older I get the harder is going, ok so let me know guys if you know something. Probably isn't nothing out there for this, but I know some members from this board are fighters too so you never know.

bronzebeefcake said:I like Muay Tai Kicks...they are very decieving...I actually favor leg kicks over high kicks...The leg kick will actually set up the high if your hip is in the same position when throwing it...There is a very good school here HMC that has great standup...BJ Penn,Maurice Smith,Josh Barnett and others have all trained under the heaad instructor there...He used to be at AMC in the states...In fact "Charutto" who convincingly beat Carlos Newton (UFC 46) and trained BJ in Bjj trains there now....
As for the stretching, never really heard of a drug for it.....Sorry
I was very serious....stretch out in the sauna. A good 20-30 minute bout of stretching in a sauna, ideally everyday, will do wonders for your flexibility.brasco said:yes I can't use very good high kicks, so I will not put in danger myself in a fight if I'm not so fast to make them usefull.
what I found is that I can stretch better when I'm on gear, but also I injured 2x myself. probably the muscles can take more pain when you are on, but if you overdoit then.
OK thanks
