Who filters with a .45 before a .2 syringe filter?

Does anyone filter 2x or is this overkill? I was thinking it might be easier to filter through the .2 if I first went through the .45. Question is- what should I filter the .45 if a sterile vial is the final destination? Maybe just filter it into the syringe that I will send through the .2 into sterile vial?

I am in no way a vet as far as brewing goes , but I don’t think it’s necessary. I could be wrong. I have had good luck with the .22. Who knows could be beginners luck.

I understand you are trying to help and be informative here. Not bashing you but it will really draw a lot of negative attention to you when you post outside of your thread.

Useful if you are filtering a lot of dirty compounds. Test E clogs filters faster than test cyp.
This only applies if you are trying to put 1.5L or more through 1 filter

This is actually a very common practice, but glass pre-filters are used instead of .4um mf.
