I'm looking to put together a routine for my GF where she trains her whole body in one workout, 2 - 3 times a week. Any of you got any ideas with exercise sequence and selection? She will be doing all the core lifts, I'm not sure if cleans should be included however
The goals are to add a reasonable amount of muscle to boost her metabolism and aid fat loss
I was thinking along these lines:
1:
bench, deadlift, leg press, assisted chins, push press, curls. ab work
2:
bench, squat, SLDL, barbell rows, upright rows, close bench. ab work.
exercises would be 3 work sets after a warm up. do all of bench then move onto squats etc.
Alternatively a super set routine:
1.assisted chins
squat
bench press
dead lift.
2. barbell rows
front squat
push press
SLDL
Done back to back. rest a couple of minutes and repeat for 3 total circuits.
Let me know what you guys think. She already has very good high rep strength endurance from doing body pump classes, she squats 60-70lbs for 2 or 3 minutes
