What makes Meso better than the other forums? Other than being an un-moderated non-source board? Relatively small member base but appears to be very active. Aside from all that i guess you will tell me its the quality of the members?

i think this is a source board. it’s a board with sources actively posting. and according to the ads here i assume some sources are pay fees to advertise here. i think the better way to describe it is: it’s an unmoderated source board that does not protect sources, even the paying ones. that’s how i see it

It also doesn't censor the members. The brotherhood here has an endless wealth of knowledge. I find that I really have no reason to be on any other boards since finding MESO.
Ive been lurking here for a while, just recently started posting, they have sources that post, and sources that are advertised, but one thing i have noticed is that the members are ruthless in calling them out on BS and they really make them pay their dues before they are deemed a credible source. And even then, if that source messes up, they will get called out on it....a lot.
Unfortunately a lot of people see it as a source board, but it’s soooooo much more. Too bad the vast majority never venture out beyond the underground. Hell most come in, find a source and don’t come back until they need something else.
The wealth and depth of knowledge here is incredible. I’m an obsessive researcher, mostly about training and nutrition. I circle around searches, forums and websites, but always end up right here. If you want to learn how to develop and chase goals in bodybuilding, powerlifting, nutrition and such, there is no better source of quality and up to date information than Meso.

Other boards will ban you or sensor you when you talk shit about their paying supporting advertisers. Even if you get ripped off or get bunk gear and complain about it you will get banned. Meso is the wild west and only the truly Strong sources survive here. If you're dishonest or disloyal you'll find yourself being lynched in the town square for lack of a better Wild West example. There is no coddling of paid advertisers here and as such this is the only board I could ever be part of.

I realize there are sources posting in the ug section. My idea of source board is the flaming advertisement sub-forums that are pay-for-play in the other forums - I think they serve their purpose and i have seen plenty of smack talk against paid sponsors but you should be on your a-game if you are going to bring it to them simply because of their fan base with the pack-mentality. I see there are some site-sponsors but they dont have dedicate sub-forums to pimp their stuff so i dont see banner-ads as being forum sponsor sources.

His opinion of this board doesn’t make it a source board. This is an unmoderated board. The only unmoderated board I believe. On a source board, however, a source pays rent to post there and have a thread there of their own. If they don’t pay, then they lose the thread. Now due to the monetary exchange between the source and the board, the board will usually “protect” the source so the $$$$$ can keep getting paid. By protecting the source, I mean the board moderators will begin deleting posts about members getting infections and bad underdosed gear reviews will be hidden from the public.
None of that happens here.
The ads are just ads. They do not reflect anything whatsoever other than someone paying for that parking spot. They are not endorsed by Meso. They just help keep the servers running by paying for the fees necessary to keep this board going infrastructure wise. A necessary evil if you will. Just ignore them.

Bang on, while I did come to Meso strictly for aas info I have found so much more here. I spend a lot of time going through all the forums, reading and learning from them all.
Did I find a source, yes.

Except your opinion is WRONG. Sources do not pay fees to advertise here. Don’t mean to sound like a dick. I’m just clarifying. With no source fees, there is no motivation for this board to “protect” sources in any way. Which promotes free discussion of negative aspects of even the best UGLs.

Yes, they paid for that parking spot of an add. Heck, you can buy a spot too if you want to. Has nothing to do with the threads. Sources do NOT pay to post on this board whatsoever. Anyone can make a thread for anything, anytime. To post on a source board, you MUST pay “rent.” Thus, that model of board structure promotes moderators which protect the source by deleting unfavorable posts about the source, so that the source keeps paying rent.

The threads are completely unmoderated, unlike “source boards.”
