Wife’s TRT Prescription/recommendation

Hey all, so we received the recommendation from our hormone therapy doctor, but have some concerns. Curious to hear other opinions.

Background- she’s 31, fit, works out regularly, eats healthy. 5’4, 130 pounds. Low energy and libido despite being healthy and having a great relationship and sex-life (contradictory, but we still have good sex, she just lacks the “desire”). She is currently taking 10mg/day of pharma grade anavar (2 weeks), and has responded ridiculously well with her physique and libido, but still tired and sluggish. I will attach her bloodwork tomorrow.

Goals- improve mood/energy levels, increase libido, aid in muscle growth (not as important as the former goals listed).

Doc has recommended .5 ML of 25 mg test C every third day along w danazole (200 mg) and an hgh increasing medication(name escapes me but will update tomorrow after reviewing his notes). He does not know that she’s started anavar and her blood work was completed before she dosed the first time.

Now the questions…doesn’t 25 mg/week sound a bit much for the test? I know everyone’s different, but we were thinking 5 mg sub q EOD or 3x/week. Thoughts/concerns on him recommending C instead of prop and any experiences there?

Danazole? I’ve never taken it and haven’t met anyone that has tbh, but the sides seem intense and not really what we’re looking for results wise. We’re going to ask him for anavar instead so she can just keep running her own without having to split mine and dissolve it, etc etc since my pills are 50 mg.

HGH- more just concerned w long-term sides here- legitimate concern?

Sorry for the wall of text, but would really like some info from some of you w better knowledge. I am fairly experienced, but only w myself and on a pretty basic level.

Thanks in advance, and will edit post for clarity and more concise information tomorrow.

Cheers

I believe testing is a lot harder for woman then men due to a lot of factors. Things that effect it most is age, mensural cycle and time of day. The testing is over my head but I bet your doctor knows even less then me unfortunately.

25mg seems high. 6-80ng/dl is the range. One day they may be low the next day they could be 50+. TRT for woman is about 1/10th what men’s should be.

My girlfriend found the sweet spot at 7mg of Test C daily, which is around your doctor's recommendations. Although she swears that taking it daily is the key to her levels remaining stable. For women, they have so much else going on hormone-wise that the rising and falling of the esters affect them differently, or so my girlfriend says. She's a Doctorate of Pharmacy at a research college so I usually believe everything she tells me haha.

And as far as libido, I can't keep up with her sometimes. The Test C alone seems to do the trick for her.

We have good sex. She's not into it at all and just lays there like a dead fish.

I’m more experienced with primo and var, but the test C dose I took was around that 7 mg. Your gf sounds extremely knowledgeable @TrenTrenTren.
7mg of testosterone daily is the median male testosterone produced by something called testicles.

Long term, 7 mg a days sound like a recipe for male puberty.

25 mg does seem high.

Recommend, you seek out the advice of More Plates More Dates the guy runs a TRT clinic an very well knowledgeable. His clinic click here Trust me, you want seek him out, if you want him to run down what could be the issue with your wife's hormones. Plus, he seems like a good dude, was just on Joe Rogan's podcast (So, he knows a few things)

Yes, it certainly seemed high to me. We’ve decided to run 6mg E3D and see how she does with that. Combining that with 5 MG var 2x/day seems plenty sufficient.

We’re not trying to overhaul her whole physique and appearance.

Thanks for the advice. We’ve decided to lower her initial dose to 6 MG E3D to see how she handles it.

She/we’re not concerned w a little clit enlargement, but not trying to transition or anything remotely close to that. Just looking for an increase in energy, mood, and libido.

Thanks for responding. She’s currently running 5mg var 2x/day, so we’re trying to keep the test on a low’ish side. Are there any synergistic properties with women dosing test and var?

Women’s levels certainly fluctuate in relation to their cycles, but should that really affect dosing? Considering production is going to shut down anyhow, wouldn’t it still make sense to calculate an ideal dosage where one can control one’s constant amount of test?

Yeah, difficult to explain I guess. We’re active around twice/week, but she explains it as she gets into it once I initiate and is still able to orgasm, but just doesn’t have much of an initiative.

Since she began taking lexapro (smallest dose available), she’s lost her “desire” and “cravings” for sex, not that she can’t perform if that makes sense.

My wife is on var as OP knows.
2.5mg twice a day from Iran hormone. 10mg of test C a week. Libido is back on track and it is countering her antidepressants. We are swingers so she is happy about it and can engage.

We did try pt141. I advise everyone to give it a whirl on a free weekend. Lol

Haha...sounds like you're describing any marriage or long term relationship haha

let me do some critical thinking for you.. 25mg every third day = 58mg per week which is about half of what a lot of men take to reach optimal test levels. does it make sense for a woman to have half (if not more) the testosterone of a male? if that's what you're about, hey, do your thing but i wouldn't want my girl on her way to transitioning into a male. TRT for women, generally speaking, is about 1/10th that of a male.
