Working out after a fresh tattoo

So I've been getting a sleeve done on my left arm and it's half way done. But now it's getting harder to workout the further down on my arm I get work done. Anyone have any advice or know how to work around this?
 
Just train the hell out of legs and cardio that week. You DO NOT want to pump up your arm in any way, shape, or form for at least 6-7 days. I've seen a tattoo on a guy tear open from training chest and it wasn't a pretty site, it ruined the tattoo and now he has a scar there. It's pretty much an open wound and very vulnerable for the week following the ink session.

I used Equaphor on my last tatt and that shit was awesome, healed it up really nice, didn't scab at all!! Hit it with Equaphor for the first 3-4 days, then switch to something lighter like Aveeno. They'll heal up nice!!
 
I swear my arm looks so much better with the tat on especially after a good arm workout/pump. But I guess I have to put the ego aside this week. Aquaphor is the shit, heals it real quick, good for my sons diaper rash as well as for healing tattoos. Yeah I guess it's legs all week then till the elbow area heals.
 
I've got an entire left sleeve, hands, knuckles, chest, and entire neck done.

Never had a problem, also do heat&air/sheet metal work 40 hrs a week. You cannot stop life for a tattoo, balls to the wall brother that tattoo will be alright.
 
Lol I hear you on balls to the wall but when your paying top dollar for a tattoo you don't want it getting fucked up during the healing process.
 
Just like dd said above. let it healn hit legs for a week. im sleeved on both arms an it only takes a week for a tattoo to heal up enough to train that bodypart again. A week isnt shit an ur not going to lose size that fast as long as you keep up on your dieting. Good luck on the healing bro. Give it a week an youll be redy to hit it like a mad man again!
 
Its not pain thats the issue, its causing damage to the tattoo thats the issue. Im not trying to put all this money down and have it get fucked up while the work isn't done. But I'm not trying to sacrifice time from the gym too. So I'm asking what can heal it the quickest so i don't have to worry about spending 2grand on a piece and have that shit faded out. Nowhere did i mention anything about pain, who the fuck gets pain after the tattoo is placed.

Aquaphor is the best post tattoo care ointment. Just make sure you don't overdo it, a really thin coat after cleaning will do the trick, if you switch to aveeno make sure it is totally unscented because aromas will dry the fuck out of your skin.
