Workout Time

I currently workout in the morning, first thing within 30 minutes of waking up.

Could possibly doing cardio in the morning and moving my workout to 6:00PM or so yield better results?

Thanks

Back about 7 or 8 years ago in college I used to do this, it would be my choice still now, but work and life don't allow that right now.

If your schedule allows it go for it, your workouts in the evening will be more intense, and you'll have more energy to muscle through it.

Yea that's why I currently workout in the morning.
Im at the gym by 6, it makes after-work time a lot easier.
For me it's also easier to get into the ruotine of working out first thing in the morning.
But I've been doing that about a year now so I think I'm going to switch it up and see how it works.

Thanks TrainHard!

IMO I believe it depends on the person... everyones different. for me I LOVE to do cardio upon waking up to start my day... the do weights later after I have some food in my system etc...
Lifting weights for me first thing in the morning is less productive than later in the afternoon or evening because I simply dont have enough energy to go as hard as i want... so IMO It depends on your own body and what works best for you (like everything in life lol)

Very True

Sometimes when I'm at the gym that early, although I am working out hard, sometimes I can still feel a little groggy deep down.
"Scientifically" they say that your body's energy and insulin levels etc. are more optimal later in the afternoon once you've had food and warmed your muscles up.

But they also say that people who workout in the morning usually tend to stick to their workout and miss it less often.

I'm going to switch it and we'll see what happens!

Once again that depends on the person... i guess later in the day you can get distracted and miss a workout.. but I dont :) Lift first, the rest later ;) dedication is number 1
