Hi guys, what do you guys use ( apart from deca ;) ) to help out joint aches and pains? I currently use 1500mg glucosamine, 1200mg chondroitin, plus 10g of cod liver oil a day.

Anything better or a different regime you use? All replies appreciated :)

I have been using since January, Phosoplex. It has Chondrotin-sulphate, D-Glucosamine sulphate plus a pot full of other items among them Copper, Boron, Bio Cell Collagen, Hyaluronic acid, MSM, Bromelain, Horsetail Extract and others. It has really helped my aging right knee. Plus 100 mg deca a week.

sodium etc the rx joint drug? is it used only for arthritus? why isnt it prescribed more for sports injuries etc?

i have to say glucosamine seems to be working a little, altho i have improved my lifestyle a great deal also

off topic, wouldnt stout be better for powerlifting than bud bro :D

Omega 3 fatty acids offer the best anti-inflammatory agents in natural foods.
Fish oils are the cheapest way to supplement Omega 3 fatty acids and not cod liver oil.
Cod liver oil is too high in vitamin A and you can take too much A.
Especially at the doses you would need to raise PG1 and PG3 anti-inflammatory prostaglandins.

I take 12 a day but that is for health, anti-inflammatory might need more like 20 a day.
Sounds like alot but they do help.

You just have to be careful, as fish oil has a wierd dosage response curve, and more isnt necessarily better, unless you are very overfat.
