Zap cap sealing issue

Take the plastic o-ring off the media jar then put the filter on top. Once you apply vacuum to the setup it’ll create a good seal

OK I'll try it when I finish eating. I saw where one guy said he wrapped the threads with saran wrap

No need to do that. The filter isn’t supposed to screw on. You simply place it on top of the media jar and starting pumping away on your brake bleeder (or turn on your pump) like you’re furiously masturbating at Asian midget porn. As vacuum
Starts to build you’ll see the seal will tighten up

View attachment 87964 Can someone tell me how you're supposed to make this seal? I'm not getting it...
I’m getting tired of syringe filters! So when you’re done can you post how it went? Ty
Also did the media bottle come sterile or did you have to sterilize? I’m ready to go to this kind of setup but I’m anal about sterilization! Thxs again

Glass media jars come unsterilized, at least mine did.

Yes. The small side of the filter, the one almost touching the media jar in the pic is the outlet end. That mates to the media jar. The other end, the top, is where you put the oil in. You need to take off that plastic o ring first then mate the two ends. Put enough oil in to soak the filter and then a little bit more. After you start pumping away it should start making vacuum and seal the joint.

That's what I thought you meant. I'm gonna try it. I'll have to waste a filter but I'd rather get this right before I actually start brewing
