My contribution to MESO: Member COC. Thoughts?

This is my first thread so bear with me...

Sidenote: I put this in the Underground for the audience, not necessarily the subject matter. If it should go elsewhere please move.

I belong to a few boards, but only lurk there and only participate (recently) @ Meso because there is much more traffic and content.

I also like the uncensored aspect, although like all good ideas, it's not without its unintended consequences:

There appear to be a ton of members passing themselves off as vets, or handing out terrible info, that buries all the good info from those we should be listening to.

**So here is my Member COC proposal:

We already have a gang of guys looking for scammers and holding srcs feet to the fire.

Because of this, guys who are handing out BS advice after never cycling (I'm stockpiling for my 1st) or running PCT after their prohormone cycle, etc., are being given a pass and are therefore more "dangerous" ... no one is asking them why we should trust a word they say.

They just have some time here and a little forum cred, and act like vets.

On the other side of the coin, lots of dudes who know whats up don't participate (many used to but don't now) because it's not worth it to float a perspective and have it lost on a screaming lunatic who can't handle his first tren run.

So here's my suggestion:

The Member COC is that all members must post age, yrs training, yrs cycled, and ht/wt/bf stats in their sig.

GUYS: our body is our billboard right? If some tweaker crawled out of his grandmama's basement and started handing out diet advice at the Planet Fitness, would you listen?

If a 20 yr old one time cycler tells you his XYZ Labs "Fire" is "G2G" because it's clear and looks smooth... well you get the point.

I think this will keep the scamming members out just like the scamming sources, and ad validity to dudes who live the life and have paid the dues and earned the strips to prove it (not saying I'm one of them btw).

Please provide your suggestions and constructive feedback, if you disagree with the proposal entirely, great, just give a legit reason. Obviously people can lie on their stats, but they'll be on the record and will trip up at some point.

BTW: this is in no way meant to be demeaning to younger or less experienced guys, only those who are passing themselves off as something they are not. If you are new to this, the guys who know are usually happy to help you out- even if you ask a "dumb" question at times- as long as you're cool about it and show some effort to find the answer yourself first.

So.... thoughts?????

I take advice from certain guys on here because I do believe they have reliable information when it comes to roids. I have come to trust quite a few of these guys not gona say any names because I'm not blowing anyone's cock. But the reason I listen to them is because I've seen how they look out for the members of this community I see what their intentions are. I don't care how big they are or what their stats are some of them obviously know a thing or 2 about the game so I listen to them. I don't really pay attention to all the complicated theory's and study's because honesty I'm to damn dumb to understand. What I do understand is some of these guys obviously have experience and know some things. And I know not everyone knows what they are talking about that's why I only ask certain questions to certain members via pm.As for the stats and all that I would actually like that just to give people compliments on their hard work and no not the opportunity to blow them. I think it's a good idea but I don't think people will go along with it only because it seems like you've pissed some members off.

I agree it's not the end all, and there is great info from guys who aren't stage-ready or whatever, but I don't think it can hurt, and it most cases will be helpful to new guys in determining what you've already learned- that some guys know their stuff and some don't.

But we should care what their stats are or "how big they are" .... just as if some dude wants to tune my car but has never won a race, or some guys pulls up in his beater Cutlass telling me how to invest in the stock market.

And re: pissing some members off, you're probably right, and some have pissed me off as well, and I'm not into C-sucking just like you- I respect that. But if that was their sole reason for not adopting a helpful addition to the board, that would speak volumes.

Can I ask why you only ask questions via PM instead of posting so others with the same question can learn too? Just curious...

As a member for a little while, I've learned who has good info and who doesn't. It's actually quite obvious if you frequent this board enough. I'm 32 years old and WILL NOT take any advice about cycling from someone who is 18 or 19 and that's just how it is. I like what your saying but there is no requirement for members to do anything. And we are not in the business of chasing members out of here. I'm always looking to help someone and if I can't I'll direct them to someone who can. We also have a members rules which is at the top of the underground but I'm sure no body real reads it. I think your hearts in the right spot but that just won't work.

I hear you but how do we know if someone is 18 or 19... or is 50% bf, whatever? That's my only thought, plus, I'll read much more closely the dudes who obviously know their stuff and can back it up with results. I don't think it would chase any good members away, just like the SCOC isn't designed to chase good srcs away.

But the fact remains the scoc does chase sources away.( which I'm ok with) if we try to seek to enforce a member coc how do we enforce that? I doubt it's even possible. There has been threads made for new members all the time and they may hold on for a few days but then die real fast.

In that case, which of these two would you rather take lifting advice from?

Well yes, but you mean scammers and poor sources right?

But the beauty IMO of this is that is doesn't need to be enforced, it's self-enforcing: If the bulk of the members abide, and some guy is chiming in with all these opinions but his sig is blank, what's the first thing you'd think? Or ask him before giving his opinions much weight?

I just think it would be good for Meso and raise the bar a bit, bring even better info here.

All the good information is available, it's not much of a forum if only xyz post.... it's really obvious who has run a lot of cycles and who hasn't. If you join up and read you see who knows there stuff. I like that everyone has an opinion and it's fantastic to see debates on subjects, look at dorian yates for example his ethos on training was completely different to everyone else's... He changed bb by not following everyone else and thinking for himself. Read up and make your own assumptions not everyone knows everything...

You would have more liars then people being truthful first off. And secondly just because someone such as myself whom is a project manager at a very time consuming crane rental company, a father of two and a husband may have different goals then the single guy with nothing to do but fuck a bitch once or twice a week and live in the gym. Doesn't mean I don't have the knowledge or the interest it is just some things come first. Now it is to each their own to decide who they will trust but the writing is on the wall with the guys that are here for the community.

And if you read what is going on here we are not just raising the bar but involved in a revolution of sorts. This place is teeming with like minded people that are tired of being screwed over and Millard has provided us with a podium to speak our minds finally.

And I must say that you can not be of age yet because I know for a fact I'd listen to Arnold and he is fat as hell now. Never judge a book by its cover is the saying and it holds true in a lot of situations in life. Looking at Albert Einstein and watching that he was practically retarded in every day life would have kept his knowledge from ever being published by your theory.

Every person has a voice here no matter how damn stupid it can be sometimes. You want censorship and you won't find that here. The only reason info gets buried is from new members joining and starting a damn thread about so and so UGL and are they good to go.

Only one way to not lie about your stats and that is to upload a real picture and multiple ones at that.

Roelly winklaar's bodybuilding coach is an old woman in her 60s or 70s i bellieve (ernastine shepard). She's one of the most well respected bb coaches in history. some of the greatest trainers I've met inn my life are out of shape ex bbs. Stats reallyy just don't mean that much. if you hang around forums long enough you learn who is legit and who don't know dick pretty quick. there is also the seperation in the guys who read a bunch of studies that they really don't understand and parrot what they thinnk it means. then there are the guys who live it!!!

I would also like to illustrate one more often overlooked point, especially by the younger guys. We do not all have the same goals. If i get above 180 I'm useless in the sports i. participate in. I can't run, swim, spar, climb or anything else i really love to do. i know plenty of 220lb guys that can run a few miles but I'm speaking on a different level. I'm an endurance athlete because that's what i love snd those are the gifts i was given. not a professional, just do what i love and compete when i can, i use aas fir ped purposes. if you looked at ny stats during certain times of the year depending on what I'm gearing up for, there are guys who would think I'm pathetic and have no right using aas. sometimes ill drop as low as 165 depending on what for but I'm comfortable staying between 175-180. just sayin don't forget about guys like me and what we work for!!

The only suggestion I would have for the owners of this site is maybe one moderator for the forum.

Now before I get lambasted on that comment let me explain. The mods job would be only to keep threads on topic and to move off topic content that spills out into some threads into new threads based on that topic. The mod should not govern censorship or to mediate arguments and such just to keep the place streamlined and allow the threads to shine for what they are worth.

For instance the "Titan" thread with all the bloodwork discussion. All the off topic content in that thread is burying some of the inconsistencies and shadyness of Titans replys so if one was to casually read that thread starting at the wrong page they may never come to the conclusion that he is a dishonest liar and pushing weak gear.

I don't think it's necessary for anyone to post they're stats in they're bio In order to only be eligible on providing reliable information. Out bodies come in different shapes and forms, much like our personal experiences. What might not be useful to you from the guy who is a ifbb pro might be more from a guy who just completed a first cycle.

Also it is up to you to stay active and pull apart who is worthy or not to ask for advice from. This idea Is like saying you will only pm questions for advice to the top 5 users with the most post counts.

Goodluck
