Was at anal with cleaning added the BB ba heated.... Then oil. Now i have this at the bottom. This is before filtering. Has this ever seen before? I've used this batch before and this has not happend. Please help uploadfromtaptalk1423790159561.jpg

Did it sit longer than previous go? I guess what I'm asking is was the sediment apparent right away or only become visible after letting it sit for a while? Whatever it is suck the clear oil out of there and leave that bottom layer alone. I'm pretty anal myself, so I wouldn't even filter that bottom layer. I'd get as close to it as possible without sucking that junk up. Then dispose of the bottom few mils. I'm sure the filter would catch it, but if we're talking about being anal here then leave it out.

I filtered it. And it lookes clear
Right on. I'd be trippin out too if I saw that. I'd go a 22 whatman in that case. But like I said I prob would have left that weird stuff alone and tossed a couple mls. You could open the filter and see what's in there. Probably won't tell u much but might give you a clue. Be safe, if u think somethings wrong with it then whoever know. I wouldn't give anybody anything I wouldn't want to use.

Ive had a similar instance happen to me not long ago. I had let some Residual BB set inside of a syringe from my first batch earlier in the night. There was barely anything in the syringe just what was left from squirting out a syringe full. It had eaten away at the rubber stopper in the syringe and when it was time for my next squirt of BB about an hour later I didn't see it until it was in the new batch. I went ahead and heated it up just to see if that experimental batch would hold and not crash. Well some of the rubber pieces had dissolved so there was no way I was going to use it on myself. The syringe was a Terumo brand.

I've never been a big fan of BB. If I was going to brew I would probably use a different method than that. It could have been a result of cooking the powder in the ba/bb mix. A chemical reaction could have occurred, like oxidation. In other words something in there could have gotten too hot and basically burned. I tend to agree with notits and say filter it and no biggie.

In most cases at least 2% BB is the norm. But if you're not going for a high concentration, then not necessarily. Say you got test E (longer chained ester=more soluble in oil, which is the basis effecting a compounds half-life). Here's a few recipes I found, some without BB.
Common 250mg/mL Recipe for 100mL No BB
25 gram Testosterone Ethanate powder (18.75mL)
5mL BA (5%)
76.25mL Oil
Common 250mg/mL Recipe for 100mL No BB #2
25 gram Testosterone Ethanate powder (18.75mL)
3mL BA (3%)
78.25mL Oil

Common 250mg/mL Recipe for 100mL
25 gram Testosterone Ethanate powder (18.75mL)
2mL BA (2%)
10mL BB (10%)
69.25mL Oil

Common 300mg/mL Recipe for 100mL
30 gram Testosterone Ethanate powder (22.5mL)
2mL BA (2%)
15mL BB (15%)
60.5mL Oil
(will also work up to 350mg, maybe even more)

Common 400mg/mL Recipe for 100mL
40 gram Testosterone Ethanate powder (30mL)
2mL BA (2%)
20mL BB (20%)
48mL Oil

If you're not mixing in EO, imo you'll still need some BB man. No BB at all caused me some issues.

Questionsss. So do ugls usually use higher powder doses to compensate for the lack of purity in raws? Like for 250mg/ml enanthate (100ml batch), do people normally use over 25g of the raws so it doesnt come out to be less than 250mg/ml by purity?

Also, does bb make it smoother than just using straight 5% ba? I see a lot of recipes for ba only, and if bb makes for less pip, why not?

One reason I can think of. I just recently heard of this issue. So you use a bunch of chemicals (EO,BA,BB) to make it dissolve in your oil. So you think it's all fine and dandy. Someone shoots the product. Well the BA, BB (don't know a whole lot about EO) goes away quickly. It's the oil that sticks around. So what can happen is the steroid is no longer able to stay dissolved and recrystalizes. Doesn't sound like a good thing. I would think the least amount of solvents necessary the better. More oil is going to give you the slow steady release you want. I'd love to hear more on the subject of recrystalization in muscle due to solvent elimination.
