CRIPPLING LOWER BACK PAIN

Ok guys, so this is the third time in a row that after doing seated rows with the close grip my lower back says fuck you fockU and gets so tight and aching that I cant even breathe without mentally cursing in every language I know, no amount of stretching, warming up and light sets seem to minor this condition and right now I'm in miserable pain after back day.

Do you have any known back issues? I do and a foam roll helps loosen it up some.

Also warmups prior to starting workout are very helpful.

Thx for the reply and no, I'm as healthy as they come. It just started with this cycle idk wtf. I've been thinking that it might be because I'm going really heavy but it discourages me a lot because damn, after the mirror gains, strength gains and being able to lift more are an absolute joy.

Make sure your form is strict on the heavy sets and if the pain's real bad, just back off and go lighter for more reps.

I'm going to shoot for work volume from now on, at least for my back. I feel like it could be my lower back being way weaker than the rest of it and it just can't handle the weight load I'm moving. anyways I appreciate the advice. Just out of curiosity what training do you do for back? I've always followed instinct with my back training and to this day it is one of my best developed body parts.

Try some lower back exercises such as goodmornings, deficit deads and hyperextensions. These should help strengthen your lower back

i get mean back pumps from dbol....even almost 2 months of being off of the dbol my low back still gets pumps...i just muscle through it ...not sure if this is what your experiencing..

I used to gey stupid back pain from back squats and i started using foam roller and helped so much i also started sleeping only on my back and that helped too

After seated cable rows?? Wtf? Where exactly is pain? Could be refferred nerve pain, or some crazie shit. This is not normal

Also what type of pain? Is it in your spinal erectors/back extensors? Like muscle pain?

Yes sir.. well I dont know which muscles exactly because its a really overwhelming sensation and everything kind of numbs and blurries into the pain but it is where the lumbars are, like the inner part of the lower back.

And it feels like a muscle failure to call it somehow I cant even walk straight like if my muscles arent able to sustain me.......

You on any orals? Almost sounds like sum demon pump. Least it's not your spine. Foam roll that bitch

Weird u would get it in a muscle group your not directly working...

Make sure your getting enough water especially while on cycle if I don't get a gal or two a day.I always get horrible lower back pumps where I can barley bend over to tie my shoe especially after a good deadlifting session.

Actually my hydration hasn't been on point lately... I'll give it a try. Thanks for your advice man. Deadlifting are being a no-no lately and I'm missing them... Thanks!

A man goes to the doctor and says "Doc I keep getting lower back pain when I do X".
Doc says "Well, stop doing X".
If your only getting the lower back pain from the seated rows, then simply do another movement - this is the easiest solution.

Of course you should also work on strengthening your lower back in general, for which I recommend looking at Dr. Stuart McGill's work - he's a world renown expert on this subject.
Basically, you need to choose movements that focus on stabilizing the lower back (planks, bird dogs, etc) rather than flexing it.

Be careful man, you really don't want to mess around with your back when it comes to things like this.
