Hey guys, I'm new here, and I'm sooooo happy that I found this place. I'm 36 years old, and have never been into bodybuilding. I was a skater in the 90's, and have since just worked out periodically on a cheap bench, or total gym. I'm 5/11 at 225. Not fat, not thin. I look like 1950's in shape/out of shape guy (no definition). Really, the only thing that has remotely kept from getting fat, is being a cable installer. Anyway, my best bro drug me to walk in clinic that his ex wife works at. I say "drug me" because I HATE going to the doctor. Weirdly enough, I'd rather go to the dentist. Anyway, I've been losing at life for the last few years. I would imagine it was brought on by drinking, and smoking pot for years. I've been having severe mood swings, depression, and no desire to do shit. I assumed that it all had to do with getting older, or working six days a week, and just being tired... ALL THE TIME. So I agreed to go with him, and have my blood checked. Well, as you can probably guess, my cholesterol was high, and my test was low. My test was 154. I can only tell you that much, because I called to get my results over the phone. I couldn't really afford to go back. I calculated what it would cost me to be on trt, even through a walk in clinic, and it was way above budget. Around 3k a year. Hell, that's more than Christmas for my kid. That was a couple months ago. I have since come to terms with the fact that I might have to be on trt for the rest of my life. I'm not proud if that, I'm depressed about it. I do want a better quality of life though, mostly to have the energy to get my kid away from assassins creed, and into the fucking yard. Haha. I don't have insurance, and get can't afford to go that route. I plan to get my shit tested once more, just to be sure, at a different place. I stopped drinking a year ago, and haven't smoked pot since either. In fact, I've only drank water since my thanksgiving kidney stone. I take mega man multi sport, and eat ok. I'm from the south, so eating ok means eggs/bacon/grits for breakfast, leftovers for lunch, and probably turnip greens some kind of potato and a meat for dinner. I would like to say, long story short, but that was a long story. Haha. I appreciate the honesty in this forum, and look forward to some good advice, and abrasive truths.
Thanks
