Olympic lifting is the stupidest type of lifting you could do. Very little hypertrophy, risk for injury goes up about 50x greater, and 3/4 of the lift is done with momentum and body mechanics, not real muscle fibers doing real work

You've clearly never been around and environment with athletes who competes in actual sports before.Olympic lifting is the stupidest type of lifting you could do. Very little hypertrophy, risk for injury goes up about 50x greater, and 3/4 of the lift is done with momentum and body mechanics, not real muscle fibers doing real work
@Docd187123 those pics are awesome man!!!!
Haha reverse grip cleans is just a joke bro. I was trollin'.I think olypic lift build explosiveness. Speed and power improve greatly. These guys are athletes that push their bodies to the limit. But no no revese grip power cleans. If you dont slow the weight on the way down the force of the weight could strain shoulder/elbows .
Clean/Snatch grip high pulls. It's an awesomer kettle bell swing basically. One movement i do like and i forget the name of it is. You start in deadlift and finish wide upright row. But the name excapes me right now
Power cleans and hang cleans are great exercises IMO. I think they are beneficial for bodybuilding as well. I do hang cleans or power cleans sometimes when I work my back but I also clean and press. I can lift more on the OHP when I clean the weight and I am standing compared to when I'm sitting and and lift it out of my power rack. I like to lift heavy and go for personal records on my major lifts. Having strength is good for many reasons, for bodybuilding increasing your major lifts will help you add more weight on all your exercises, at least for me it does. Kick ass Doc nice work, that 8 pack is awesome.
That's not me in those pics. That's Dmitry Klokov, a Russian Oly lifter in the 105kg weight class.
Oh well he looks like a bad mofo.
