What lifting straps do you recommend?

I've been looking into buying some straps to use sometimes on shrugs and maybe rack pulls, so just for some of my heavier, non-deadlift pulling. I'm having a hard time finding ones online without at least a couple reviews from guys saying that they start to rip or have other problems when going over 400-500 pounds, which is likely the lowest weight I'd use them for.

So does anyone have straps they've been using for heavy pulling for a long time that are still holding up well? I know versa gripps are probably my best option but I don't wanna dish out that kind of money if I can find something good enough for less.

If you need them for some accessory movements just get something that is durable and cheap and not overly big / clunky like some of the straps on the market. Any of the ones below are what I would consider getting, pay attention to whether or not they have to be broken in or not before using to remove slickness of the material.

If you need a faster releasing pair / less length then these are pretty cheap

check out spudinc straps, most durable straps ur gonna find, theyre made out of tow straps. They are stiff when new though, throw them through the washing machine a couple cycles. You wont break them

I use Valeo straps and they were cheap as hell. I've use them for 500+ lbs lifts every week and have had them for about 3 years now. No problems. One thing I would suggest is to really tighten them around the bar so there is little slack between the bar and your wrist, if that makes sense. Then make sure you still grip the shit out of the bar like you aren't using straps at all. My first pair of straps ripped rather quickly and I think it's because I let the straps do too much of the work.

Normal Animal cotton ones I got as a gift long ago with a supplement purchase from a local market, holding good enough. I think only way you can ruin straps is not gripping hard enough or otherwise have them loose. Here is a picture of mine, cost nothing for me like I said but I think it's something like $5.

I have those IronMinds strong enough straps and the sew easy straps.
Both have held up very well and I'm a big fan.

one more vote for versagrips.
Those things are great, and quick and easy to slap around a bar.
I've not gotten used to using them on any push exercises, but use them for every pull exercise.
They keep my carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms in check.

These are what a lot of power lifters use....they're a solid brand, I've used their knee wraps and will be getting some of their sleeves. My cousin uses these to pull 700-800+ pound deadlifts so I'm sure they'll hold up for you Lol

That is the style I use but never saw that brand. I am going to order a set in pink because they will have less chance of "accidentally" finding their way into someone elses bag

Try them and you'll be surprised. They're much better than the garbage straps that have that loop hole in them lol
I thought you were joking lol. It seems like they would cut your wrist. Either way, I have some cheap ass straps that have held up for years because I don't let them do all the work.

[EDIT:] just realized I am a tard Lol he doesn't use knee wraps for deadlift (nor does anyone else in the world I'm assuming? Lol) but he does use them for squatting (obviously) I just ordered the "Felonies" can't wait for them to get here!

Most ppl think I am but they really do work great. Many old school PLers used them before all these companies started making straps. You're not supposed to wear the strap over the wrist. They're worn over the hand but even so it doesn't cut into your hand
