Music for Workouts.

What music you use to aid your workouts (if at all) and why? I listen to heavy stuff to get me going, but I know some people prefer to be chilled whilst getting their workouts done. Let me know below.

I have to have my headphones when I workout. Blocks out all distractions (except yoga pants) keeps me focused. I typically like a higher energy, heavier, loud music but switch it up. Anything from 80' Rock, old gangster rap, motivational speeches. Kinda depends on the mood and what I need that day.

barry manilow. Listening to his shit makes me angry as hell. What garbage! But I train hard!
Hahaha.

Anything from Five Finger Death Punch, Slayer and Nine Inch Nails :)

For cardio, some good house, trance and electronic music with a good steady bass line.
Yes, I need higher energy music too, the louder the better or I can get too lazy in the gym!

Hmm so there is, that one is about individual songs, I was interested in genre, we get the same answer from both posts I suppose. But no matter, I will remember the search bar in the future! This is my first day on this forum so thanks for helping me find that out.
Very respectful. We like that. You see how simple that was @markday3421???? Why dont you give it a try sometime instead of asking wkm's for handouts skidmark!!!! All of my bros can an will keep doing this for the entire rest of your meso life if you so choose;) Its NP really:D Infact it would be our pleasure:p

Has to be heavy, or funky. Or both.

RATM, Dog fashion disco, old incubus, old chili peppers, slayer, testament, dillinger escape plan, stp, tool, ideamen. . .

Been liking foo fighters a lot lately too. Well put together group there, been stuck on that wasting light cd for a few weeks.

This is a bit of a hijack, my apologies, but it seemed an opportune moment to throw it out there....

Any other short guy have problems with music devices? I have never been able to carry one on the arm for the flexing when I am working out and cannot wear one on the waist cause I always have to work around it being there. In short, I have always had to listen to whatever the gym is playing. I will always recall hearing Tears for Fears back when I was starting out though. Everyone wants to rule the world...
