Hey what's up everyone, have been browsing the forums for a while and finally decided to make an account. I'm a member on a couple other forums and it's funny because a lot of people on the other forums would always talk bad about this forum and now after checking it out I really wish I would have just spent my time here lol. It just seems more "real" here if you know what I mean, a lot of bsing and ass kissing on many other forums. I was seriously laughing my ass off browsing through some of the threads here, especially the ones talking about evo. Hopefully I can contribute the little bit of knowledge I have as well as learn from everyone here. I'm just now getting back into working out after taking about 3.5 yrs off (work a very physically demanding job so just gave it up). Needless to say, I lost a good bit of strength/size so hopefully muscle memory will kick in and I'll get back to where I was or surpass it by the end of this year. I've set up somewhat of a meal plan and am going to start back on a upper/lower split 4x/week. My stats are 27 yrs old, 5'9", 182lbs

Welcome man. Muscle memory is no joke. It usually took me about 3 months to really start looking the part again and I'd always have regained all my lost muscle mass inside of 6 months. Muscle memory is almost like being on cycle. The gains come that quickly for me but everyone is different. When I was a bit younger, I'd have all my muscle back in about 8-12 weeks so no worries. I couldn't stand all the source ass kissing and bs that goes on on those other boards. There's nothing like Meso :)

Yeah man I hit my first workout last night after the long break and the pumps were pretty unreal, it was definitely a good feeling getting back into it.

I have a feeling when I hit legs it's going to remind me of back when I first started lifting, when you can barely walk up the stairs and have to pull yourself up with the hand rail haha

Don't let your job get in the way man. I'm a 38 year old mover in a big city full of third story apartments, there's not a lot of things I can think of that's more of a pure physical grind. You will have soreness to deal with the first few workouts, but that's short lived and ain't shit in the big picture. Just dedicate yourself to that hour a day (or whatever) in the gym, and just go get it weather you "want" to or not.

For sure man, I definitely plan on sticking to the routine. I'll probably hit evening workouts for now and might go into early morning workouts when the initial soreness fades away. Yeah moving is hard ass work, I do landscape construction mainly dealing with hardscapes and irrigation installation, but yeah I realized I need to make it happen or else I'll be looking back a year from now just disappointed saying woulda, coulda, shoulda.
