Gettin it in.. NovaFlex Training Log

Hate to be that guy, but I honestly think you'd be much happier with the results of your first cycle if you start it out at a lower bf%. First cycles are where all the magic happens, and do you really want to be at a huge caloric deficit when your muscles are primed for growth? Just some thoughts, you'll still get great results doing what you're doing, but I think aas are still unnecessary for now. Subbed regardless.

I mulled this exact scenario over for months before making my decision. I realize that first cycles are typically bulks and it's something new and exciting for the first time pinning... However, having been on a TRT dose for 5 months now, and not terribly interested in aesthetics, I just want to see quality muscle and strength. I imagine I'll have plenty of time to bulk in the near future. I've come to terms with the thought of a caloric deficit, which was one thing holding me back, and one reason I chose tren, knowing the potential side effects.

Thanks for voicing your concern, Natty. I realize this is going against most 'rules' for aas use. i mean, tren first cycle? cmon... lol. All i can do is stick with it and prove I belong here with the big boys.

Proving you belong here with the big boys isn't much of a justification for using tren right off the bat. The reason people don't use tren, or any compound for that matter, on top of test for their first cycle, is because otherwise, how would you ever know how you react to the different compounds, had you not taken them separately? You may say you've already experienced test, given that you're on trt, but you have not experienced it at your proposed 600mg/wk, which is quite a bit off from the 100-125 mg/wk that your body is used to. What will you do if you get gyno? I don't see any caber on your ancillaries list, tren is the culprit for prolactin-induced gyno, which is quite common. Sorry if I am coming off as blunt, but you are also pointing two different ways in your post about wanting to see quality muscle and strength. If you wait to cycle at a more appropriate bf%, you will be able to transition to a lean bulk, and the drugs will be able to take advantage of the extra carbs and calories that you will be taking in, thus creating MUCH more muscle and strength, being that you would be eating at maintenance/surplus as opposed to a deficit.
Just some thoughts.

Out of curiosity, what is an appropriate bf% to start a cycle on? 15?

Theres no "appropriate" %
Some people think the higher bf = higher chances of aromatizing, but realistically it depends on what your goals are when cycling. Certain performance based athletes arent as worried about bf as people competing in BBing or physique or people who spend all this money to try to get girls on the beach.

Letro and adex are both on the list. Adex to keep estro in check, and letro for prolactin.

And it's the only justification. having done immense research on my own, plus the information here at meso, knowing the side effects of both tren and test (which are completely different), why would it not be appropriate?

it's my understanding that new guys are shuttled away from the 'harsher' aas for lack of knowledge, correct? I'm no guru, but Im not lacking. And I regularly take the advice of members here. Granted, I will never know EXACTLY how each compound will effect me until i try it.. I DO know EXACTLY what to expect from each.

while I appreciate your concern, and in most cases would actually back you, Im not a 20 year old kid just looking to experiment. There's a fundamental difference between someone 'experimenting' and someone who lives this shit, day in and day out. I live this. I love it. And plan to compete in powerlifting in the coming future.

If this were the case, 99% of powerlifters would never be at the 'correct bf %'. Or, for that matter, th 350lb NFL linebacker who's sitting at at least 30% BF...I was going to elaborate on this as well.. Bro science. Bro rules. While there may be some truth to the aromatizing theory, it's nothing that an AI can't fix. And as you stated, it completely depends on the person's goals. To look good or to perform better... Aesthetics are tempting and can certainly be achieved, but they aren't everyone's primary purpose.

Was running late today so grabbed a Gatorade protein bar for breakfast. will edit this at the end of the day with my full myfitnesspal list.

I feel like this is going to be a good transformation/strength gains log. Get your nutrition and training details worked out and stick to them 100% and I think you'll be pleased.

I'm noticing a difference just in the last couple weeks since I've been getting more strict on diet. Tracking and posting it really made me crack down. My training is sucking right now though. Knee injury plus feeling weak from cutting. Hopefully I'll turn that around soon.

Have you decided on a program yet? I'd go with WC's plan or just a DUP plan in general, depending on your goals. Running them in a calorie deficit might be rough, but tren might make up for that. I don't have any experience with it, so I couldn't say.

I'm spending these last few days dialing my diet in 100%. I want to have everything green lighted when the stuff arrives. I've been in a carb deficit the last few weeks. I haven't been tracking lately, until yesterday, but I've stayed away from them mostly, and I've been feeling really weak in most lifts. ill probably pick up those preworkout pop tarts lol.

my sticking point right now is 1.5 or 2 gs of protein per lb of bw... minor detail, but I'm trying to get everything 100

I tried finding the plan that jay said you posted but I couldn't find it to look over, so decided to finish this deload week and start WC's on Monday. After seeing Trukker's feedback on it, I'm even more pumped to try it.

Here it is if you want to check it out. It's in the spoiler tag a little ways down the page. I don't think it would be a very good choice while in a calorie deficit, but you might see something you can use later.

First cycle log and meet prep

I'd love to run WC's routine someday, just can't fit it into my current goals.

Caber will do nothing for prolactin. Control your estrogen and you'll control prolactin.

Letro and adex are both on the list. Adex to keep estro in check, and letro for prolactin.

Letro is not for prolactin. Like I said, run adex day one. Get blood work done. I've used letro...it'll lower your E2 to zero and have your joints screaming in pain.

yeah I'm following your advice on the adex. but i thought letro was for prolactin? either way, if it's that harsh it can just sit.

Yeah NF I'd let it sit. Letro had me feeling like shit. I used it to try to reverse gyno...if there's such a thing. But now trying Ralox and Nolva and feel like they're working better.

Me personally I think 12-18 tops is what you want to be ideally. Usually the more fat you have I've found leads to more sides in people bp, estro, heart rate. IMO overall health is the most important thing so why put it at risk when you can lose the weight and enjoy the cycle more and actually see better results IMO.

Let me add I was fat as fuck...I'm talkin' 280+...easily 30% BF. I got down to 215 15-17% BF before I did my cycle. First cycle in 10+ yrs. I got up to 245 during that cycle. Currently 225 and around 13% BF...feel much better. I'd put my transformation up against anyone, especially someone my age.

We have different goals OP. I'm here to help you anyway I can.
