Food Production/Harvesting...

Wait...did his brother die too? Never heard that. I never heard his brother went rangers too?
no no I believe his brother served proudly and was honorably discharged from 2nd Batt. I just meant imagine how proud you'd be If you got one boy in the NFL, one boy in the MLB and they put it on hold and sign...make it through RIP together. I'd be one proud MF'er...

I gotta get these guys away from my turkey, I've got a meet-n-greet with a gobbler planned in 2 weeks. I've set up a spot to drop bait to try to draw em out and up away from where the turkey are scratchin. The large box traps are in Ga so until I can get some up here I'm going to continue to bait the area an monitor the cams. I won't use snares on dogs, wouldnt do any good anyway I've seen em sever their paw to break free...nasty and I don't believe in it. I need to at least get a positive ID bc NC is the only region I know of that still has reports of Eastern Red Wolves, a federally protected endangered species. So for now I watch, try to ID, and see if we can relocate these guys.

Subbin in cause TEK called me out in another thread for not being here . I don't take pictures when I'm in the bush (leave all electronics except my SPOT tracker at home when I go out just prefer total detachment and I keep the spot with me cause my last girl liked when I pressed the "I'm okay" button before bedtime:p) so I don't have pics of any hunts but I'll be sure to get some photos up as the season comes along. Gonna visit the folks in a couple weeks and plan on getting myself limited out on crab each day I'm there.

I like to recruit all the Canadians bc you guys are like the nicest dudes ever and very humble. "Here's a pic of the moose I killed with my slingshot..no biggie"
It's been mostly hunting photos lately but I'm about to start posting more agriculture once the ground warms.

I think this is more along the lines of @CdnGuy 's thumb...download.png

What kind of garden you going to have going this year TEK? I'm going to go a little crazy and bite off more than I can chew I think...

Damn this thread has me thinking about where I want to live when I retire. TEK's first few posts of pictures has me thinking about my parents place and land in Michigan (far, far removed from the sad chaos of Detroit). I miss being able to do whatever the hell I want in the yard and being surrounded by peace and quiet.

My parents had a large garden and while it was nice being able to pick green beans every night for dinner, I didn't fully appreciate how cool that was. I'll look to see what if any pictures I have on this comp, but I've got some solid memories going through my mind now. Quality thread!
michigan has some great agricultural areas...I stomped around some farms near Benton Harbor, Kalamazoo growing up.
