Although Cruz is popular with the social conservatives and devout religious crowd
(neither of these I directly identify with), I'm drawn to his tax proposal and immigration policy. He is remarkably consistent though, and I would rather take the old plow horse than bet on trump who is quite obviously making a lot up at he goes. Trump is an actor, and he's captivated the audience quite well. Although I dont care who loves who or what God you believe in..I would support Cruz simply for the fact that he's consistent and I respect that. At least you know what you're getting....I won't have a heated argument over it though Im not his biggest fan boy. But I could never cast a vote for Bern or Hillary, I simply don't trust them or identify with any of their proposals.

We need to stop making isis. Every time we drop a bomb in another country we make isis soldiers out of survivors. Every time we overthrow a government we make room for isis. Every time we threaten to do so plants the seeds of isis. If we had never invaded Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, syria- there would be no isis. We arm rebels to meet our political and financial ends and call them terrorists when we are done with them.

America got unhealthy and fat when they allowed sugar lobbies to control health reports and food labeling. We support a billion Chinese by paying interest on loans for war and allowing them to manipulate their currency to pay us back. The jobs went overseas because wages are so low Americans can't afford to buy anything but cheap foreign products- our cost of living is too high and we need to pay workers too much to survive with basic manufacturing jobs.

People didn't get fat bc manufacturing work is being exported to other countries. People are getting fat bc their food intake is higher than it's ever been and their activity levels are lower. It's simple thermodynamics.
Trump can't tell China to fuck off when they own so much of our debt. It's like telling the bank to fuck off bc you don't want to pay your mortgage. Put aside the social issues of abortion, religion, same sex marriage for a minute.
I like his stance on decentralizing big government, cutting social programs, flat rate 10% taxes, single income family of four is exempt on first $36k. Tighten the budget decrease government spending, put the money back in the working mans pocket...let him spend it how he sees fit and stimulate the economy. Tighten our borders, he's in favor of people immigrating legally that possess skills/trades and are willing to pay taxes and play by the rules...He's also in favor our protecting our interests domestically and abroad, and building up Military. Also in favor of major reform in the VA to help Veterans have better access to the benefits the have earned. Also believes in using whatever interrogation tactics necessary to prevent domestic acts of terrorism, and the death penalty.
He is what he is...but at least you know what you're getting. He has a long history of standing by his values.
Cruz is a neocon insider. He has no values worth standing by.

10% flat tax? On what exactly? The 700 billion a year in unpaid taxes due to corporate offshore dodging? How will you tax that? Is that ten points on unearned or earned income? So a laborer pays ten points and a broker pays ten points on capital gains he did no work for? That doesn't seem fair to me on any planet.
Decrease government spending AND build up the military? Our biggest expense? Makes no sense.
Cut social programs? Just increases crime.
Pro torture? Fucking pathetic. That is why our hypocrisy instigate terrorism. If we ignore Geneva convention why should anyone else pay attention?
