I disagree completely. .. we see the bad because of media, all races doing dumb shit... or maybe we live in a place where we see it with our own eyes, maybe we were once drug addicts or criminals so we know a lot of other peeps who are the same... but overwhelmingly there are much more good people on this earth than bad

Yessir... unfortunately I spent a few years behind those walls as well... but I've always saI'd if u wanna meet some good peeps go to prison.... drugs make people something they arent.. hard drugs ... and in prison you can pick out the good from the bad pretty easy... some of my best friends in the world came from those years behind bars and I would trust them with my life and my money...but not my girl...

Hell yeah it does. Teaches you patience, humility, makes you appreciate life out here so much more. Things you wouldn't think about like not sitting on a couch or comfy chair for years or no air conditioning in the summer.
When we put in for a library pass it was two weeks minimum and don't let the joint end up on lockdown and your pass gets cancelled and you gotta put on another and wait two more weeks. Makes you appreciate all this instant gratification out here.
Or winter yard brushing snow off a bench before you do a set or picking up a dumbbell off the rack and it's frozen to the one next to it. Or summer yard in 100+ degree blazing sun. Not pleasant either.
Or this other time the hot water heater broke and they didn't bother fixing it for five weeks. Showers so cold the water hits you and takes your breath away.
People don't even know, Frank. I made peace inside my head for the first time in prison. I'm going to go ahead and not go back though, once was enough for me.
