You can probably find a used charger with under 30k miles that has awd, heated leather, 8.4" touchscreen, etc. I know we have a red one for 24k that only has 23k miles on it.

Yeah, but the same can be said for lifted trucks. I blew a side wall out of a 38.5 on my old blazer and almost flipped. I don't think he'll even notice if his blew. He had to roll his fenders to make it fit. I like it but it's not practical. We have potholes the size of cinder blocks around here.

Which won't be very long. If he hits a pebble with those rubber bands he's going to feel it. The only cars with tires that thin are show cars or guys who don't know better. He will find that out very soon

He's had it for a few years. It's his only car and daily driver. He's driven it back and forth to Vegas many times. I've ridden in it many many times and actually drives really nice. Being such a high end luxury car you don't feel all the little bumps you think you would. Also he has won a few shows with it. All around it's a little better than you'd think. That being said I would probably crash it trying to miss potholes.

Well I found myself really not wanting to sell my truck so I bought something a lot less expensive. Went with a 2012 VW CC. I mostly bought it because it was practical, loaded and was spotless inside and out.

It's actually turning out to be a fun little car to drive. With the turbo it has crazy good acceleration for a 4 cylinder. I still don't love the exterior look but it has by far the nicest interior of any car I looked at.

Oh no shit. I thought all acuras were FWD so I didn't really consider them. I'd be okay with a car with higher miles with an Acura since they are owned by Honda.

2013 is about the oldest I'd want to go if I spend over 20. If I go older I'd want to stay under 15 so I dont have to finance anything.

I hate car payments. The only reason I'm okay with one now is my allowance should cover payment and fuel cost. Too bad not many companies do mileage reimbursements anymore. That's like a 10-20k raise with what the cost per mile runs.

The tech in these new vehicles blows my mind. Separate screens for Nav and vehicle info, lane alerts park assist, steering assost. Crazy shit. My last sedan was an 07 mkz. Nice car but nowhere near the bells and whistles. Seems like they turned the corner in 2013 with the tech.

Side note since you're a dealer. What do you think I can get private party for an 07 yukon denali with 180k miles? It has literally every single option available. Just normal wear and tear. Only thing that doesn't work is the auto running boards. Has some extras like aftermarket 20s, limo tints (seemed to help sell my last car) and werhertechs front middle and back.

I can see where you're coming from, but I don't necessarily agree. I drove both a Infiniti Q50 and Maxima and there is a huge difference in performance. That's the only one I know from experience. Also the interiors are generally nicer.

Generally if they do have all of the same features the top of the line model of underlying platform isn't going to cost that much less than a base model of the luxury vehicle.

I used to be extremely against foreign vehicles, especially Japanese. I grew up in a very rural community up north, both of my grandfathers were ww2 vets and bashed japs on a regular basis. The way things are nowadays, not matter what make you buy they're usually around 50% foreign. Even chevy's crew cab 1500s which they brand as "As American as baseball and apple pie" are around 75% imported parts and assembled out of the U.S.A. It's pretty sad... lol

I worked in the Japanese auto industry, in Japan, for some years, and found it amusing when they started to play the Ford/Mercury/Lincoln badge game. Since I knew what was going on inside the plants.

Usually, this year's new engine or feature in the upbadged line is available next year in the main line. Distasteful to me. Also, as a rule I don't like how Japanese cars drive, so I'll stick to German cars - built by engineers and designers who drive like gods on the autobahn, as opposed to engineers in Asia who are more concerned with how to parallel park.
