New to Meso have been lurking reading the forums for few weeks and decided to sign up. I'm 5'9" 220 lbs body fat higher than I would like. I'm just looking to meet new people and step up my game. My goal is to compete npc men's classic by the end of 2017 and as of right now I am a way of from that. But I hope to meet new people and learn more so I can meet that goal.

Welcome man. Good luck on your goals. Just stay determined and you'll get there. Takes a lot of discipline.

Welcome to Meso bro. Jus like @TX TERROR said, this isn't for the inpatient ones lol. It takes years of hard work an dedication to shape an mold your body. I still have a very long journey ahead of me but its all good. I imbrace the struggle hahaha.

Thank you for the welcomes and encouragement guys. I am dreading the dieting part I love carbs like a fat kid loves cake lol. But I really want this so I'm gonna suck it up for a while.

Dieting is tough for sure. I'd say look into hiring a coach when the time comes. It will make the experience easier. Till then I would also go to a couple shows if you can. Get to know competitors and see what they go through.

That is something I have been talking about with my friend. I am going to try and get a little closer to my goal but yes definitely solid advice. I think bare minimum I will need help with posing as well as symmetry to make sure I am ready. I am shooting for 6 months minimum I just hope that will be enough. I have been talking to many competitors both amateur and pro there are many in the gym I train at. They have all been really great and helping me make decisions and letting me know that it isn't as easy as lifting some weights throwing on a thong and walking away with a trophy. I do really need to make some time next time a show comes to tow I think you are spot on I need to see how it all goes down, I've seen a few shows on tv and on youtube but I'm sure nothing compares to going in person. Thank you for the solid advice.
