Melanoma Skin Cancer Side Effect Associated With Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Drugs Cialis, Levitra, Viagra, Staxyn, And Stendra, As Well As PAH Medications Revatio And Adcirca

According to an April 2014 medical journal article, Viagra (sildenafil), the most popular and well-known drug prescribed for male erectile dysfunction (ED), appears to increase the risk for malignant melanoma — but not other skin cancers like cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas nor basal cell carcinomas.

The four other brand name ED drugs that are phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitors, Cialis(tadalafil), Levitra (vardenafil), Staxyn(vardenafil), and Stendra (avanafil) are probably associated with an increased risk of melanoma skin cancer, too.

Cialis is also prescribed sometimes when doctors see the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Two other phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitors are Revatio (sildenafil) and Adcirca(tadalafil). These drugs are prescribed for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

Essentially, the active ingredients sildenafil, tadalifil, vardenafil, and avanafil which are found in these ED, BPH, and PAH drugs act by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5). Experimental in vitro studies show that PDE5 inhibition augments tumor cell invasiveness. In turn, this effect seems related to an apparentmelanoma skin cancer side effect for all of the brand name drugs with these active ingredients:

1. Sildenafil: Viagra and Revatio
2. Tadalafil: Cialis and Adcirca
3. Vardenafil: Levitra and Staxyn
4. Avanafil: Stendra

The recent medical study finding which indicates an association between each of these PDE5 inhibitor drugs with invasive melanoma skin cancer might be of particular concern to patients that have used any of these drugs and who may be at an elevated risk of melanoma due to a history of:

• extensive sun exposure;
• basal or squamous cell skin cancers;
• Parkinson disease (which causes autonomic erectile dysfunction and is associated with elevated risk of melanoma); or,
• other family members diagnosed with melanoma.

We are currently investigating cases of melanoma in men who used Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, Staxyn, or Stendra as well as men and women who used Revatio or Adcirca, as possible drug injury lawsuits against the responsible pharmaceutical companies. For example:

Levitra – Melanoma – 62 yr old man
Cialis – Melanoma – 60 yr old man
Cialis – Malignant Melanomas (three) – 64 yr old man
Cialis – Melanoma Skin Cancer – 55 yr old man
Viagra / Cialis – Melanoma – 48 yr old man
Viagra – Melanoma – 45 yr old man
Cialis – Malignant Melanoma – 39 yr old man
Cialis – Malignant Melanoma – 60 yr old man
Cialis – Melanoma – 60 yr old man
Cialis – Metastasized Melanoma – 67 yr old man

Ofcourse it's something you need to take in to consideration... my personal opinion is that these peeps could have been pre disposed to this type of cancer, could have been a lot of variables involved... or, it could be spot on in saying these drugs can increase risk.... not many things we put in our body don't increase the risk of something, and every substance on the face of the earth is known to cause cancwr in the state of california...
I'm just saying... risk vs reward.... yearly checkups take care of your body....

Cancer is caused from free radicals or mutated cells in the body. Increase your anti oxidents.

I personally take several grams of lyposomal vitamin c. ( this is much different than ascorbic acid vitamin c)

Like @ryno said you don't know their diet, excersisize etc. and in today's world most Americans are living a sedentary lifestyle behind a computer for work and go home and eat potato chips or pre boxed foods with tons of preservatives with zero excersize.

There are plenty of studies showing sun screen causes cancer as well. So which poison do we pick?

Vasodilator and a vasodilator + citrulline having similar effects shouldn't surprise you...? However, I assure you, Cialis is more intense and last about 3 days. Also, arginine has a tendency to upset users' stomachs at the necessary amounts... Just a VS. between the two.

I agree with you 100%. I ordered some cialis myself. I was just saying I get good results with just arginine and citrulline for those who don't want to take the leap to cialis. Or maybe for those coming off cialis

I take 10-15 grams of argenine. And sometimes I'll do 10 grams argenine and 5 grams citruline. Incredible pump for sure.

I still like me some cialis too though.

This is an epidemiological study which can't show causation only correlation.

IMO, this study is nothing to worry over. Think of your average Viagra/cialis user:

Older male, has seen sun exposure for decades, many older gents retire down south where the sun is stronger, they may not use sun block, etc etc.

It's a random correlation similar to how homicide rates rise when ice cream sales rise.

Prescription is very pricey and I've used both script and generic without much of a difference in what was expected from use.

Just curious if what most are using is actually generic.

Here's the thing that's tricky about generics when your talking dick pills...
Name brand are obviously tested and fda approved vs all these other brands coming in from India and all over. The ingredients are cheap and the reason your paying top dollar for name brands is because of its patend.
I'm not saying all generics are as good as name brand but most , at least as far as cialis is concerned is as good and sometimes better.
The thing we don't know with some of the genrics, is what else is in them and that can be very scary
I'm gonna butcher this name, but valdista...... and apple biotec are my two favorite generic brands and they are available for less than 2 dollars per pill. Hope this helps

I buy boxes of Kamagra in gel form when I'm in Thailand. Each gel packet has 100mg of sildenafil citrate - 50 packets per box - 750B to 800B per box, which is around $22 USD.

That stuff is the real deal, made by Ajanta in India. IIRC, the Indian and Thai authorities didn't honor the original patents (perhaps because the original product was sold for $15 a pop, too steep for horny Indians and Thais perhaps) and let generics onto their markets.

Just an FYI if you pass through Bangkok.
