I know that ny implemented a BITLICENSE which means you could not GEt bitcoins anonymously Supposedly coinbase is now got the license does that mean people in ny can acquire and transfer bitcoins now ?

Not sure about the ATM's never actually used one just know there's a lot of them. Nothing about coinbase is anonymous they have you verify your ID by taking a picture of it and add your debit or credit card. Local bitcoin is prob the most anonymous but it depends on the seller some want a pic of your ID the one I use does not want any info I just go to the bank and deposit money in their account. All of the bitcoin exchanges are extremely invasive.

ATM's charge a fee, but I use a prepaid cell phone and store my bitcoin wallet on there. At most the ATM has asked for a name, which you can just make up, then they send a text to your phone. After your initial withdrawal there is a limit on that phone number until verified (depends on the machine, the one I use is $500 first time, then $200 until verifies), but I just change my mobile number and get the $500 limit again.

Are you in NY?

Just looked at several. All said no lol
If you are close to one of the ATM's I would do that. The exchanges like coinbase and Uphold are a pain in the ass. I guess the sellers on local bitcoin are now following that law. I'm originally from NY leave it to them to be the only state to regulate bitcoin. Atleast the ATM's are around.
