Alright we all know what sugar is and what it does, but how much sugar is too much? I wanna say per meal.
I ask because I'm on the chicken and rice plan right now and my go to sauce is sweet and sour sauce.
The whole bottle of sauce is 140 grams of sugar, or 10 grams per serving.

Looks you're a high school kid with no information to give who only comes here to troll
You can google information on any food. My opinion on sugar is simple,it is the truth.

I have eaten sugar once in the last 6 weeks, when I did it was like smoking a joint, so it is what it is.....I have no time for weakness, excuses or drugs. You can personally attack whoever does not agree with you, but that will not help you become better in the real world.

Good luck.

I try to avoid sugar as much as I can because I like it to much but like you I will use the same sause post workout or I use a few others, try not to make it a habit with every meal or you will crave sweets or get fat lol, I know I do, but that one meal helps me stay away from junk, just from the sweetness from the sause. I know that dont answer your question, just saying what I do

The way I see it is ALL carbs eventually get broken down into sugar by digestion and then absorbed as glucose, dextrose, lactose, maltose, and sucrose by your brush border enzymes in your small intestine.
All of these are pretty much the same besides only small differences.
So what is the difference between eating simple sugars(sweet and sour sauce) and complex carbohydrates (rice)?
Well simple sugar can get absorbed into the body faster than carbs because it is already broken down, hence the term 'sugar rush'.
Carbs take a little longer and will therefore ideally give you more energy throughout the day.
Other than that there is not much difference actually.

Your body CANNOT absorb complex carbohydrates by any means of digestion/absorption. (There is a difference between digestion and absorption btw)
You body can ONLY absorb monosaccharides(simply sugars)
All polysaccharides(complex carbs) must be broken down to simple sugars in order to be absorbed.
Even disaccharides( sucrose, maltose, and I think lactose counts?) must be further broken down.

This is a really good idea for a thread OP.
There is such a huge misunderstand of sugar, even from people that pride themselves on their knowledge of diet/nutrition.

Love it when retards try to use terms they do not understand.
Nutrient- a substance that provides nourishment essential for growth and the maintenance of life.
Drug-a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body.

I know I shouldn't be feeding the troll I'm sorry guys..

How much of that sauce are you using?
