So i got a stomach bug on wednesday. Presumably norovirus as it seems the most common. Was definitely not food poisoning. Spent a day vomiting and shitting the most foul smelling liquid out my ass. Fever for another day. Couldnt eat much at all until friday afternoon. Even then everything i eat made me feel quezy.
Sunday was the first day i could actually get in close to my macro goals. Even today im still not able to get in all my cals. No appetite. But the worst thing is how incredibly weak my body feels. I tried lifting first time today and 20 minutes in said fuck it as i had no endurance energy and the weights felt heavier than ever. The other day just walking up a hill felt exhuasting and my legs wanted to collapse by the end, normally i walk up that hill and barely even notice its a hill, this time it was like scaling mount everest.
Its been years since i last had a stomach bug, how long does it take you guys to feel normal after sonething like this?? Ive been drinking loads of gatorade and water, so i dont think its dehydration or electrolytes. Im pissed off though, i still dont feel normal even though ive no apparent symptoms left. How do ypu guys aide your recovery from this shit?
Ive lost close to 10lbs in under a week although i did drop the creatine when i got sick so ive probably shed that water.
